Product Description

From the Publisher

The book is permeated with the burning faith and spiritual experience of the author and cannot fail to inspire the sensitive reader. Here the student is told in simple languge the why, when and how to act. This differs from any other work on a similar theme, and to date, nothing like it has yet appeared in this kind of literature.
Chapters of rare spiritual beauty adorn the contents to bring solace in the worldly struggle, and to delight and uplift any reader who sincerely wants to start a new and better life beyond the reach of inner troubles.
Highlights include:
• Powerful enlightening prayers
• Effective exorcisms
• An interdenominational character

Format: Paperback
"Theurgy" is literally a mediaeval term for magic which involves the invocation of divine and angelic forces. In the 18th and 19th century, practitioners of disciplines such as Martinism used it to signify ritual as a means to attain spiritual illumination. It is in this sense that Mouni Sadhu uses it in this book.

Sadhu's argument is that what makes a Theurgic Ritual (which in its most simplest form, is Prayer) effective is not merely the words themselves, but the psychic mental and spiritual effort that the practitioner puts into performing it. Sadhu outlines how this can be achieved, although he continually refers to his other publications, expecting the reader to cross-reference them (hint: "Concentration" is recommended, "Samadhi" is not).

If you are looking for a book of magical spells to achieve your various wants, this is not for you. If however you want practical guidance on how to -know- God, instead of just taking Him on Faith alone, then you may find this useful.
