Product Description

Product Description

The five members of Elephant Revival share a deep commitment to certain ideals: community, recognising ones place in the flow of the natural world, harmony. Holding on to those ideals in the midst of heady career growth and strong individual creative forces could be difficult, but they weather these storms with aplomb, and in doing so, have produced their best album to date. It is a document about striving for transcendence under These Changing Skies which was recorded at legendary Bear Creek Studio in Woodinville, WA and was produced and mixed by Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers, Brandi Carlile, The Walkmen). Elephant Revival formed on the banks of Spring Creek in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and then relocated to Nederland, Colorado in fall of 2006. They loved one anothers sense of shared values and the way that their disparate musical influences began to form a more cohesive tapestry the more they played together. It really is a natural confluence of our elemental influences, says bassist/multi-instrumentalist Dango Rose. Those elemental influences extend beyond the musical to a world view that is expressed not only through the music, but in their lyrics.

I have a few of their albums and have seen them live several times. Elephant Revival is one of my all time favorite bands! The Changing Skies shows the maturity that the band is developing. To me, these new tracts show off their talents and love for what they do more than ever!

HASH(0x8b2f7750) out of 5 stars We've had the good fortune to see Elephant Revival a couple times already 15 Jan. 2016

We've had the good fortune to see Elephant Revival a couple times already, and their recordings are top-notch. They are one of the best examples of what might be called Indie/Gypsy/Folk . Great songwriting accompanied by tasteful acoustic instrumentation (strings & percussion) and beautiful vocal harmonies; each song is unique and enjoyable. No weak material here. That's why, while (at this point) they may be relatively unknown in some parts, this band's following is intensely loyal & passionate...and growing rapidly.

HASH(0x8ccad168) out of 5 stars Wonderful music for any occasion 1 Feb. 2016
By Mary Ellen Rose - Published on Amazon.com
These five are all very special people and their music shows it. A lot, maybe most, of their music is written by the members of the band. They work together beautifully. Three of them play multiple instruments. Sometimes their music etherial and sometimes it makes you want to stand up and shout or at least tap you toe.

HASH(0x8b2b5eb8) out of 5 stars fantastic 18 Feb. 2014

I absolutely love and adore this album. The songs on it are a bit folky with a Celtic twist to them. The fiddle playing rocks, the vocals rock, the songwriting is wonderful as are the melodies. Please enjoy!

If you get a chance to see Elephant Revival play live, do it! I watched a lot of these songs being performed, and their violinist is amazing! The album is still very good, too, luckily.
