I bought 2 different ThermPro Hygrometers (TP-55 and TP-50) and they were delivered today.
The idea was that I put one in my bedroom and the other in my living room.
I unboxed both of them and inserted the batteries into both of them within a minute of each other
When I bought these products, I didn't expect them to be accurate but I expected them to be close enough in terms of the humidity level and temperature.
Below are the results:
Time - 14:10 (Official temperature 19 C)
TP-55 - Humidity 70%, Temperature 14.3 C
TP-50 - Humidity 49%, Temperature 23.4 C
Time - 15:04 (Official temperature 19 C)
TP-55 - Humidity 18%, Temperature 19.5 C
TP-50 - Humidity 49%, Temperature 23.4 C
Time - 16:16 (Official temperature 18 C)
TP-55 - Humidity 66%, Temperature 3.9 C
TP-50 - Humidity 49%, Temperature 22.9 C
At 16:46, I decided to change the positions of the Hygrometers so I put them on my carpeted floor. Below are the results:
TP-55 - Humidity 10%, Temperature HH C
TP-50 - Humidity 50%, Temperature 22.8 C
Based on the results, I'm quite sure the TP55 one is faulty. The TP50 one seems to be consistent in its reading but the fact that both were made by the same manufacturer does not not give me any confidence that it is giving me accurate readings.
I have attached relevant photos. In my opinion, its better to spend a little bit more money and buy a better and accurate Hygrometer.
