3.0 out of 5 stars Like The Sleep System --But 12 Sept. 2013

I wish Term-a-Rest hadn't changed their snap system to this loopy attachment for connecting it to their sheets. I have the Ventra down comforter which I love and got this for camping in situations where the damp might compromise the down. There are two things I don't like about the Regulus: the new snap system and the elastic gathering at the top of the blanket. I find the Ventra snap system much more convenient and the elastic gathering at the top of the blanket felt awkward and uncomfortable. I'll stick to my Ventra.

4.0 out of 5 stars good sleeping blanket. 23 May 2013

I got this to be part of my Sleeping system for Motorcycle trips. I use the Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Trekker Mattress and a Sleeping bag insert for the setup. I tend to roll over alot while sleeping, when using a sleeping bag this means that I have to wake up and otginize myself to roll over.

With this type of setup it is more like sleeping in a bed. the Blankey attaches to the matress to help keep heat in but since I am laying on the matress I told have to wake up to roll over. It compresses up to a very small size and fits on my bike with little problem. adequate warmth for most temps but will need a heavy blankey for the winter.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic blanket... 18 Sept. 2013

Thermarest does it again with another great product. I am a side sleeper and toss in the night, the regulus 40 allows me to do that unrestricted and does not bunch up thanks to the included sticky back loops for attaching to your sleep pad. The quality is top notch, material and stitching seem solid as well as water repellent. I have enjoyed this blanket to the point of buying the down version of this as well. If you are not into the tight mummy bags while camping, this is a perfect choice...

4.0 out of 5 stars MY new sleep system 12 July 2013

I bought this product to use at the National Boy Scout Jamboree in West Virginia. I used it one night so far and I am very happy. It is light weight and considerably smaller than a regular 40 degree bag. It fits well on my existing Basecamp model thermarest pad and did not shift or fall off at all. I'm looking forward to using it for a full 10 days at the the Bechtel Summit.

I toss and turn a lot when I sleep and regular sleeping bags have always been a problem. They are either too warm or too constricting. This blanket allowed me to move with out having to adjust my bag. The compact size is great. When packed in the small storage bag it is no larger than two 1qt water bottles side by side.

I bought the down version of this product for my son to take to Philmont Scout Ranch last year. He was on trail fro 10 days and said it worked great! This blanket is a little heavier and slightly larger when packed but feels much more durable than the 35 degree down model.

I have been a Boy Scout leader for five years and have about 200 nights of camping over that time. We are in the northeast so we camp in all weather conditions. By combining this product with a fleece sleeping bag I think I can use it from March - October with no problem.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for NJ summer camping! 6 Dec. 2013

I used this while spending a week at Boy Scout summer camp in NJ. I was tired of sweating in my sleeping bag, even though it was warm weather rated. This blanket fit nicely on my REI air mattress and provided me the ability to move freely during the night. It is extremely lightweight and packs easily. 3 other dads who were camping with me have since purchased this item, because they were so impressed by its design.
