This is a very emotive read, with tragedies, a very insecure couple and a scene stealing baby. It is a moving story of life after loss, celebrations and fun Christmas events and about taking risks in the hope of achieving your own HEA. The characters are well developed and portrayed, making them both believable and easy to empathise with. At times both main characters definitely have an inner battle between their heart and their head, so much so I wasn’t always quite certain which would win out in the end! It is a story of so many people having a second chance and a delightful festive read.
I requested and received a copy of this novel, via NetGalley. This is my honest review after choosing to read it.
Tracy Blevin is an RN at Charity Urgent Care during the day and at night she uses Hunter’s kitchen to bake pies to sell to help with the mortgage of her new home. Tracy’s dating life is non-existent after a bad marriage and several relationships which ended with the guys leaving her. She has gotten to the point where she doesn’t believe love actually exists, but she secretly wants her own family. Spending time with Hunter, Tracy starts to think maybe there might be a chance for romance. But she is afraid it will end badly like her other relationships, so she keeps her feelings to herself.
When Hunter needs help with baby Adam, Tracy is more than happy to help. Will baby Adam be the miracle Hunter and Tracy need to see the love that is right in front of each other’s eyes?
This was an emotional story and it has a great message to it. I enjoyed seeing Hunter and Tracy put their insecurities behind them and finally find love. And who couldn’t love little Adam? He really stole the scenes at times.

Since Tracy Blevin needs a little extra cash to help with her house payments, she occasionally works another job after her shift ends at the urgent care in Charity, Montana where she is a nurse. She enjoys baking, and making pies for Wood’s Café brings her much pleasure along with some money. Getting to interact with the diner’s owner is a bonus, but Hunter Wood seems content to keep things professional, so Tracy thinks friendship is all they will ever share.
After serving his sentence, Hunter wants to put the past behind him and have a brighter future. As he and Tracy become better acquainted when their work schedule overlaps, both begin to dream of possibilities that each feels will never become a reality. When an unanticipated event drastically alters Hunter’s life, his relationship with Tracy could also go in a new direction.
A standalone story, THEIR CHRISTMAS MIRACLE is about taking a risk and hoping the outcome will bring happiness. Hunter paid the price for a tragic mistake, and now he just wants to be respected and move forward. Working hard at his café takes up much of his time, but he has definitely noticed the intriguing Tracy who bakes some really delicious pies and also appeals to him. When he ends up the guardian of a young infant, he makes sure the boy is a priority in his life. I liked seeing how this man faced the obstacles of raising a child, and some were amusing while other instances were touching. Lynne Marshall had me smiling often during the scenes where little Adam was featured as those moments were certainly accurate.
Tracy has fears about giving love another chance, but being around Hunter as first a business partner and then his friend has her secretly wanting more. I never knew if this couple would let their feelings dictate their actions or if their mind would be in control. The author has her characters behave with genuine reactions, and just like real life, responses are not always in a person’s best interest. Honest emotions are why I always like reading a story written by Lynne Marshall.
I voluntarily reviewed the book and all comments are my honest opinion
An accident, a mistake cost Hunter so much that he can never regain. Now he’s only looking for a chance, a second chance to rebuild his life, operate a successful business, gain a decent reputation and keep his head down and tend to his own life. He has a partnership of sorts with Tracy who is a caring urgent care nurse by profession and the baker of sinfully delicious pies by calling. They have a mutually agreeable relationship she bakes tasty pies, he buys them for his hungry for more customers. He has happy customers and a profit, she makes some extra cash. And maybe they get to spend time together for a bit, each wondering if there might be more.
When the unthinkable strikes, and the title most people really only think of as honorary (and pray never, ever has to be taken on) becomes reality Hunter’s life will once again go through major changes – and this time he’s going to need some help.
There is so much to enjoy about Their Christmas Miracle. One precious, infant Godson will bring Hunter and Tracy closer. As a brand new parent, Hunter has no clue about babies, how they work, how to make them be quiet and happy… so he heads to the one person he trusts for help. Tracy. With the help of one adorable baby these three are going to form an unusual family – but one that works based on love, and second chances.
