Thoroughly enjoyable, good old fashioned haunted house/ghost story. Well written with a solid believable story, (if you believe in ghosts.) Throughout the book I felt sympathy for both the spirits stuck in limbo and the people having to live in the house in Angel Hill. I would certainly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the paranormal genre.

I was a bit wary when I ordered this as I've found that a lot of haunted story books are quite boring, and not well written, but this one surprised me.

When I first started it I found a couple of spelling errors and a couple of lines of text missing which would normally put me off, but I persevered and am glad I did. Yes there are bits of the story where I felt the author could have gone into a lot more detail (some parts - that I consider to be major to the whole story line and what gripped me in the first place - seemed to happen and be over and done with in the blink of an eye which I found frustrating as I wanted and expected more) and there were other bits that didn't need so much description (every time they moved to another floor this was described and was unnecessary as the author had covered what was on each floor at the beginning) however the story itself is very good and I found it a thoroughly enjoyable read.

It's not the longest book you'll read (I managed it in one afternoon) and the author's no Stephen King of James Herbert (with more description and better detailing the author could easily rival them) but it's a good read none the less and worth a couple of hours on a dark evening to read through.

I loved this horror book. I have not read a good horror in a long time. Well written. Liked the characters felt I was living in the house too. Could not put it down, when I went to make myself a cup of tea I felt like a child looking behind my shoulder I am not easily scared but this made me want to run back to bed and put the covers over my head. Buy the book it is well worth it.

It was a good read good characters, story line, until the ending which I felt let the book down, up to then I found it hard to put down and wanting to know what will happen, even sent a chill down my spine with the suspense, just a shame with how it finished.

This is your run of the mill haunted house story but with a twist, the whole town is a little strange. Sadly, the author doesn't take advantage of this premise. Little is made of the town as a whole and I feel the story blurb is a bit misleading on this. If anyone has seen the TV servies American Horror Story, you'll find this is a bit of a cheeky copy. One major aspect of the plot, Liz mistakenly having it off with a ghost, then finding herself preganant at the end, is barely mentioned. The story ends without alluding to what this baby may end up being... In summery, not a bad story, certainly not original and full of missed opportunities.

This book did actually make my spine shiver. It created such a creepy atmosphere that I had to just keep reading more and more to find out what happened next. I wasn't surprosed to learn latter it was based on the authors real experience, because you sense that coming up at you from the words. Would highly recommend, if you want to be scared....

This story was well written although at times it was repetitive and the idea that so much was going on in such a short time and yet it still didn't sway the family from getting the hell out of the house sooner, verges on the plain ridiculous.....sadly a mistake a lot of writers are making these days in this genre.
