A varied anthology of essays on the historic and current teaching of Latin and Greek from Primary school onwards. As a past student of Classics looking to teach Latin, it is full of useful information and contacts. Although the subject has been 'unpopular' and numbers in decline for a number of decades, it is great to read about its renaissance in the education system in the UK and USA. It gives hope that a place in the National Curriculum is not a complete pipe-dream! Well-edited and well-written book - i would recommend to anyone even vaguely interested in Classics.
