Ian Ogilvy was one of many childhood crushes and this was a favourite series in my day. God I sound OLD! He is stil as gorgeous to me many years later. I only watched a few episodes so far and it is dated but comforting in equal measures. Blast from the past when things seemed so much simpler than they are now.

I bought this mainly because I hadn't seen this since it was on the TV when I was a kid. It was a regular fixture after tea on a Sunday evening at my grandparents house when we used to visit them.
It was also very entertaining to watch. I also found it interesting to notice how action-dramas are made so differently today.

It also reminded me of time when you could read all the end credits without them being shrunk into one corner of the screen while listening to the end theme without it being talked over.
Halcyon days.

Also great theme music. It is now the ringtone on my phone!

Another actor who is unlike Simon Templar in the Saint books and yet Ian Ogilvy brings his own interpretation to a very enjoyable series and some good locations and stories. Thoroughly enjoyable, just a shame Lew Grades Sinking the Atlantic (or was it Raise the Titanic, one of the two) meant another series never happened

great opening theme, and I liked the stories I felt they was far superior to the roger Moore saint stories or to be accurate the colour roger Moore saint stories the b/w series was in a class of its own and will never be bettered. but the series was let down by the pitiful amount of action which was poorly staged

Exactly as I remember the series. This DVD set is not in HD. The picture quality is excellent for SD - a nice sharp picture with clean colors. One of the additional bonuses are the commentary tracks by star Ian Ogilvy with either the producer, director, or writer of the episode - at least 5 commentaries, maybe a couple more - I don't remember exactly. This set is not region 1, so a region-less DVD player is necessary if you live in the US as I do. I highly recommend this box set for anyone who is a fan of the series.

Wow what a super series, still not too out of date and the fashion is a recall to my memory

A great series, Ian Ogilvy did a fantastic job replacing the late great Sir Roger Moore.
