A compelling theory that analyses origins of religions and social order in a very different perspective. Effluent and lucid in its presentation making the book a " hard to put down thing'. The only hitch is that it would give the reader a slight nostalgia of the author's earlier work - 'Chariot of god's'.

I read this book a few years ago and wanted a copy for my library. Erich Von Daniken is remarkable in his explanations of Alien visitations in the past. A highly recommended book along with the ultimate classic (Chariots of the Gods).

I bought this book after a very strong recommendation regarding the extraterrestrial visitation subject. To be perfectly honest, the author spent more time referring to the bible and other religions text with very little by way of evidence of visitations.

Certainly Chariots of The Gods was much better to read (having read that a number of years ago).

If you want prove of life out there, don't expect it from this book.
