The subject matter is crying out for an inspirational book on the subject , but this isn't it! The authors dry writing style does little to motivate any but the already seasoned collector. It is a shame that the authors undoubted enthusiasm for the subject did not translate into print.
The reader is left with a feeling that only the older and therefore more expensive pieces of pottrey matter , hardly an attitude to promote new collectors. All in all a wasted opportunity

The authors are to be congratulated on publishing such a super book. It is a well balanced and well presented record of the Langley Mill Pottery, its wares, and the hundreds of marks/stamps of the pottery, its artists, and its workers.
A most enjoyable read
