Product Description

The fate of the LEGO world lies in your hands!

In a scenario drawn from the film, The LEGO Movie Videogame puts you into the role of Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person--and the key to saving the world. Guide him as he is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.

In The LEGO Movie Videogame you will be able to collect and use LEGO instruction pages to build construction sets or harness the awesome power of the Master Builders to virtually build extraordinary LEGO creations along the way. With more than 90 characters inspired by the film and 15 exciting levels, you can build and adventure like never before.

I'm 51 years old and i love playing the Lego series of video games. They're generally just great, pure fun for people of any age. As documented by many other reviewers on Amazon, the series is not without its ongoing faults but, crucially, none of them have ever been truly game breaking.

The Lego Movie video game continues in the same general vein. Explore various movie themed levels in Story Mode, solving puzzles and collecting as many lego studs (currency) as you can, utilizing the various abilities provided by Emmet, Wildstyle, Vitruvius and select others.

As has been mentioned elsewhere, this game is far shorter and less fully featured than the majority of Traveller's Tales other Lego games. Although this is slightly disappointing, it doesn't really make the experience of playing the game any less enjoyable overall. There is, however, one crucial, potentially negative aspect of this game that i must mention. Particularly as the majority of people who do play this game are most likely to be young players who are fans of the movie. There are certain areas in some of the levels where the enemies appear relentlessly until the player manages to complete a particular task at that point in the level. This reality, combined with the fact that combat with enemies can prove to be quite tiresome and frustrating when forced to use Emmet and Wildstyle by the game, means that there are some potentially major 'sticking' points in the game for younger players which cause them to just give up in frustration. Also, signposting as to what to do next in these areas is very often poor and many annoying deaths and subsequent loss of lego studs are a real possibility for players.

Good game, fun, inoffensive, and one or two puzzles to keep youngsters playing without being overly complicated. Perfect. Also the flying games from Marvel Superheroes have thankfully not resurfaced (yet)

“The LEGO Movie Videogame” is a third-person action-adventure game, following the story of ‘The Lego Movie’, and forms part of the ongoing Lego series of games. It’s a great deal of fun – involving both action and comedy – and, if you’ve enjoyed the other games in this series, I think you’ll like this one as well.

You get to control various characters as seen in the movie, making use of Lego pieces to progress through the different levels. Initially, you play as Emmet – a ‘regular builder’ in the Lego world – and as you proceed so Emmet becomes a ‘master builder’ (just like Batman, Benny, Princess Uni-Kitty, Vitruvius, and Wyldstyle). Your task is to stop an evil tyrant from taking over the Lego world.

This game has the look and feel of the previous instalments in the Lego franchise. It’s easy to play, and is suitable for children and adults alike. It’s a very bright, colourful and vibrant game – and looks great on the PS4. As I review, it's only £15 - so a bargain.

Great game, If you've played the Lego video games before then you will know what to expect, lots of missions, lots of building and lots of destruction.

My boy of 10 has had pretty much all the lego games and we reckon this is head and shoulders above the rest, loads of characters with varying powers and abilities, you get to jump, climb, drive some brilliant vehicles.

We haven't seen the Lego movies but guess the game is based on what goes on in the film which looks great fun.

I believe the colours and the graphics on the PS4 version are the best I have seen.

Brilliant

Definitely aimed at the younger end of the market. The game is good, has lots of details and characters but not as many as you'd like. The scenery is more simplistic than any of the previous ones and there jyst doesn't seem as much content, certainly not when compared to lego marcel or the indians jones ones.

My son (10) saw the movie and a couple of months afterwards wanted the game for the PS4. But it is just a very poor movie tie-in. He played it for only a day or two, and then it strangely went back on the shelf. He's back on FIFA14, the Lego game forgotten. It might be fun for the 5-8 age range, but nothing more.

This is a great fun game based on (and telling the entire story from start to finish) the movie, it's probably best not to play this until you've seen the movie as it'll give absolutely everything away but this is much more varied than previous lego games and is just plain simple fun.. Graphically not enhanced from the ps3 version... But it really doesn't matter..
