Having read Chima's later books first, I was slightly disappointed with these, which didn't seem as good. Rather too formulaic and predictable. However, I imagine they will be very much enjoyed by new, teenage, SF readers.
The item arrived promptly and in very good condition. Unfortunately the story is dull and the writing tedious. The author continually informs you that those without special powers are referred to as Anaweir. She then hammers the pun home by making sure you know it sounds like "unaware" (geddit?)in case you haven't figured it out already. After about the third time of this you just want to scream. There are no real surprises and you are able to guess who all the baddies are very quickly. An ok book if you're 10 years old, anyone older should avoid it.
