If there are two things I normally avoid in books it's sci fi and YA books but I happened to pick up on this one and it sounded interesting. I wasn't at all disappointed. It was actually a very mature story and I loved the young boy, Nick, who wants to clear his fathers name when all around thought him mad. The characters were interesting and convincing, the plot moved well and it was a very satisfying read. Well done Ms Colley on your first book. I hope there's more.
J.S. Colley's Halo Revelations is very enjoyable. The scifi premise tickles at the mind, but it is the characters and the action that drive this novel. The persona's of young Nick and Henry Applegate were particularly apt.
The story has enough depth to hold the intellect, and yet is fast-paced enough to keep the pages turning.
Great engaging story with am original spin on the normal mysterious artifact yarn. Would agree it works for YA audience, but for adults looking for am entertaining tale too there is enough here. If there is a seqel in the works, would be interesting to see where it leads.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was an engaging story involving an artifact and (not so) secret agencies. It was an easy read that weaved normal life into the story. Yes it is fiction, but maybe not that far from fact...
