This book is fantastic, Its written in a manner which appeals to all skill levels, but does assume some basic knowledge of music theory for those who are new at the subject.

Trust me when you start applying what you've learnt to your music, you will be amazed!

This is an excellent book which ties up the process of conventional orchestration with that of computer/software orchetration. It is essential if one wants to get the authentic sound of an orchestra from a computer, generated with sample sounds.Highly recommended

Not a bad book, Only just started reading it but it seems a little dated. I'm more interested in learning orchestration first, before dealing with the midi side of things so was hoping for the 2 to be separated, but I will read on and hope that I achieve what I was initially hoping for.
