This is an excellent introduction to the subject, and as it manages to bridge the gap between guide and reference work has enduring value.
Recently learning that paganism is the worlds fastest growing religion I had to find out more, and this lavishly illustrated book provided most of what I wanted. The text is written in the manner of a reference work, and therefore I found the excellent "Wicca" by Scott Cunningham with its approach of the friendly teacher a great companion volume.
This is an indispensable book for anyone coming to WICCA for the first time.

This book is in the exact format as the other spiritual bibles, crystal bible, spells bible etc.
As such this is in the very easy to use format brilliant for when you need to refer back to specific sections. Yes, this is another Wicca 101 book but, this is more than that it takes you from the very beginnings as you have discovered your path through to the more complex aspects of the 'craft'.
The correspondences are very easily accesible and everything is explained in such brilliant detail and so easy to understand that said, I think even the more experienced Wiccans will gain something from this book too.
A really brilliant book and if you don't already have The Spells Bible I would highly recommend it as it is the perfect accompaniment to The Wicca Bible.

This book is an excellant book about wicca which covers pretty much everything ranging from differant types to the Kabbalah. It's also handy and easy to read. The author seems kind and friendly giving this book an extra plus. While this would not be good for advanced Wiccans it is an excellant introduction to the craft. The only problem that I can really see with it is a lack of information on the history of the religion.

An invaluable resource for anyone beginning on or curious about the craft, Ann-Marie Gallagher has written this in an easy format suitable for any age of reader. Each chapter is in perfect syncronicity and flows onto the next just as the wheel of the year. Highly informative and accurate while being in the right centuary. Still wouldn't be without mine! Blessed Be. )O(

Whether this book will be useful to you depends on exactly what you want. If you want a basic explanation of some of its key practices, beliefs etc... then it's a good book. It is very light and gentle, and gives a few ok examples of rituals.

However it goes into nothing in depth, so anyone with more than a passing interest in Wicca may well be disappointed. For the same reason it would be little use to an established Wiccan.

If you're an interested beginner it's not a bad book, but if you want depth or detail then you should look elsewhere.

This is a really good introduction to Wicca, and I would definately recommend it to anyone starting out in the faith. However, the Wicca presented in this book is clearly "New Age" inspired; there is very little about the history of Wicca or it's largely occultic influences. If you are looking for a lighter, more positive, cleaner version of Wicca then the traditional, darker version then this book is definatelty more recommendable, even if it is less accurate.

As an introduction to Wicca,I found this book easy to read, very enjoyable and full of useful information. As with all the 'Bible' books I've read, clearly written and good illustrations.
Highly recommend.
