This book is a total rip-off. I can't believe that I've paid £8 for this!. What you get is an extremely short, uninspired, unrealistic, boring, soppy story about how man gets a new perspective on business and life. This story wraps the "5 laws of stratosheric succes" within it, which are certainly excellent principles to bear in mind during one's day to day activiteis. Let me save you the bother and expense and copy out the summary:
1 - The Law of Value
Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value tan you take in payment.
2 - The law of compensation
Your income is determined by how many people you serve and how well you serve them.
3 - The law of influence
Your influence is determined by how abundantly you placce other people's interests first.
4 - The law of authenticity
The most valuable gift you have to offer is yourself.
5 - The law of receptivity
The key to effective giving is to stay open to receiving
That's it. You will not gain anything else from this book. The surrounding story offers very little insight or further explanation of these principles, but does offer a range of bland and poorly drawn characters who we learn have used these techniques to make mega-bucks. This is what really tured me off about this book - the ultimate framing of the 'laws of giving' are in terms of receiving. "Hey you should be more givng to others! Why? Because you'll get loads back from it!" Of course by the end of the story, after making a few trivial gestures to people he's got mega-bucks - Yaaaaayyy!!!
