An excellent book for what it sets out to do. It would more accurately be described as "101 important things to bear in mind when designing a website". Each of those 101 things is briefly described on one (or sometimes 2) pages; they are all important so the book is at one level a "check list" of what to remember. It won't tell you how to write HTML code, how to organise your page or what colours to use, but it will point you in the right direction often to appropriate web based resources.
