This was bought as a reference for my daughter who is studying concept art and also as a replacement for one I owned previously and mislaid. We both play World of Warcraft and it is interesting to see how the artwork was developed. One particular set of sketches that sticks in my mind shows how they adapted trees etc. for firstly a lush area into ones for a plague-ridden area. With just a few tiny alterations, the whole feel of the areas changed drastically. It has also been interesting to see how ideas they had all those years ago have only just recently been incorporated into the game!

All in all a very interesting book and well worth the money.

This lovely tome arrived several days prior to the expected date, even though the item in question was being shipped from the USA. It's in an excellent condition both internally and externally and only shows the slightest bit of wear on the corners, having been looked after with great care. The art within is stunning, with both full colour images and sketches - often with annotations from the artists. A must have for those who enjoy the art of Warcraft and the setting of Outland in particular. (Even if we're all tired of collecting felboar dung in Hellfire Peninsula)

Bought as gift for a comic artist, who was interested in this type of art for reference. Covers a selection of artists showing pencil/inkwork as well as full colour finished magazine art. This was pre-owned but is in very good condition and arrived within del date.

Those of us lucky or rich enough (or both) to have bought the World of Warcraft Collector's Edition when it launched will already have had this tome for almost 18 months. Every now and then, I don my cotton gloves and carefully turn the 206 glossy pages.

The book is divided into sections covering the races, monsters, environments, structures and weapons, cinematics and promotional artwork. Each is crammed with full-page, full-colour artwork, black and white sketches and concept drawings.

If you're a big fan of Warcraft or enjoy fantasy art then I think you'll love this book.
