Only just got into king creosote after seeing them at the Edinburgh hogmanay street party. Apparently he has made 40 albums!
Well I am 2 down and 38 to go.
This is beautiful and really captures the spirit of Fire and the area. Grab a glass of what you like, close your eyes and relax..

After King Creosote's critically acclaimed Bombshell album, his follow up Flick the V's was for me a bit of a disappointment. A so-so album with a few stand out tracks but a fair bit of uninspiring filler. I'm delighted to report that Kenny (aka KC) has pulled off another Bombshell with 'That Might Well be it darling'. An intoxicating mix of melodic indie rock ballads and up tempo foot tappers which draws on KC's signature themes of quirky lyrics, sharp instrumentals wrapped up in some snappy production. There is a Beatles-esque vibe to the album in it's melodies and harmonies. A wee bit retro and harking back at times to KC Rules.Naturally some tracks are more instantly accessible than others but overall it's all good stuff. One of his best albums to date...there I've said it!
