Text is full of drama, romance and plenty of action.

Honor lives on her own and is a paranormal writer. The book starts off with Honor going for a run near her place when she is kidnapped. She tries to get away but eventually he restrains her and he ends up in a hole in the ground in the middle of the woods. She's really frightened but luckily enough she swipes his phone in a scuffle before he put her in the whole. The signal is rubbish and her failed call to 911 makes her believe there is no hope. Meanwhile, Nathan is a marine who is on vacation and attends a poker night with some friends and acquaintances. When a guy named Lex is late, he messages him to see where he is but what he didn't expect was Honor on the other end. Nathan can't believe and thinks it's a joke but when he realizes it's real, it's a race against time for Nathan to find her before Lex does.

I don't want to say anything more as it will give the story away and it's a great story to read and enjoy. I really enjoyed the story and love Nathan! Have to like a sexy marine! This series is brilliant as it can be read as a standalone and it's not left on a cliffhanger. This is the first I've read in this series and i'm definitely going to read the others. Highly Recommend!

The concept of Text is great, and the ensuing story feels real.

Honor is a writer and she loves her solitary existence; she has the worlds and characters that she creates in her head to keep her company. Her life is great, until the day that changed it all.

Nathan is a Marine. He's seen his fair share of tragedy and he's still reliving those moments on a daily basis. He sees himself serving his 20 in the corps and then spending the rest of his life alone. He's too broken to be with anyone; that's what he believes until he receives the text message, then his life changes.

The initial meeting between Honor and Nathan is intense. She's in grave danger and he's determined to save her. They don't know each other but he's drawn to her and he's all she has to rely on. Will he get to her in time?

The concept of this story is really good, how a text message can change the course of two people's lives; people who have never met but feel a connection to each other none the less.

The relationship that ensues is very real. Two people meeting under extreme circumstances could be drawn to each other through their shared experience, however Honor and Nathan also have that incredible immediate attraction to each other.

Both characters are likeable and real. Honor is strong, both in body and mind, she fights her corner and stands her ground. Nathan is the ultimate hero, he's the guy you want on your side, he's the guy who'll do anything for the woman he loves.

I'd definitely recommend Text by Cambria Hebert as a good, quick, easy read and I'd say that Nathan could quite easily make it to your Book Boyfriend Top 20!

I read this for Hooked On Books

This book grabs you by the throat straight away, when Honor Calhoun is attacked, taken hostage & dumped in a hole in the ground, deep in the woods.
Luckily for her, she managed to steal her kidnappers phone from him, but she hardly has a signal & there is not much battery life left.
She replies to a text that Nathan Reed sent to the phone & explains what has happened.
Nathan is a serving Marine and uses all his skills to hopefully track her down & rescue her.
I was on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading this book. I had to remind myself to breath on more than one occasion.
Fantastic characters & an explosive storyline.
I may just have to say this is the best one of Cambria Hebert's book I have read to date.
Absolutely Excellent

I loved this book.
Honor.... a romance writer lives alone and runs daily along a wooded trail... her life is simple but blissful... one morning her whole world is shaken and turned upside down... when she is kidnapped and thrown in a hole....
one text not only saved her life but also changed it forever....
Nathan... is a marine... he carries his own internal scars from war... but when receives a text asking for help... he jumps into action to save this stranger from her kidnapper.
from one text and through danger.... Honor and Nathan sizzle and ignite....
This book will grip you and keep you wanting more....

This starts with a kidnapping. Honor is running on a beautiful day when suddenly she's attacked. Cleverly she grabs his phone before being put down a hole. She uses it and gets Nathan. The idea of this is horrendous and the characters courage is exactly right as she faces her kidnapper who is clearly sick and deranged.
This is a good story and I liked it a lot. I read Tricks first and this, although stand alone, comes before that. Well written, edited well, it just needed to be longer so you could really get your 'reading' teeth into it.
Suitable for NA readers and above.
