Sophie and MC have a D/s relationship but he wants to spice things up beyond their BDSM relationship.
He introduces Sophie to BA a trainee Dom. They develop their own relationship and BA pushes Sophie to want more from her relationship with MC.
Sophie has been yearning for more and I love how she is true to herself and doesn't want to betray MC with BA but she isn't emotionally able to separate their relationship to that of hers with BA.
I'm totally team Sophie and MC really messes up in this book. My emotions were all over the place at that point. I won't elaborate because that spoils the ending.
I'm intensely looking forward to more.

This story picks up where the first book left off. Quentin and Sophie are making their long distance work as they try to see each other twice a month. Since Quentin is the master of kinkiest he suggested trying to bring some excitement into their relationship: a trainee that wants to become a Dom. As BA and Sophie develop a relationship with each other online, it brings out a different side of Sophie. She doesn’t want to develop feelings for BA because she loves Quentin. As time goes by she starts having feelings for BA because he is there for her in ways Quentin cannot. When you as a reader find out more information about BA, your jaw will drop!!! Which leaves us with a great a cliffhanger, even though it’s horrible, it’s still a genius ending!!
I am looking forward to the third book for so many reasons and finally finding out answers! I am so excited and anxious to know how everything ends up for Sophie and Quentin!
I enjoyed seeing how the MMC and the FMC are starting to grow closer, including between the lines talk of moving in together and getting married. When he tells her that he needs her to be the sub for another online Dom he is training, I could feel the drama already starting.
When BA (Bearded Alpha) is introduced I was immediately warry. I couldn’t help but think that it was naïve and irresponsible to add a third into their relationship when they aren’t even together all the time (live in two different cities) and haven’t really solidified the foundation of a relationship yet. So, yeah, I was kind of irked at Quentin when he brought this up to Sophie, and in no certain terms, told her that if she was his sub then she would do it because he told her to.
It really only took a couple interactions between Sophie and BA for me to realize where the story was headed. So at that point I was just getting more and more upset as the story went on, knowing what the secret was going to be.
I totally can’t blame Sophie for freaking the ‘F’ out at Quentin when she discovers what’s been going on. I would feel so betrayed. Quentin’s reasoning was ridiculous and completely juvenile and yet I can understand it on a psychological level given what he had been through.
And then there’s the end. BAM! Mother of all cliffys. I’m so glad that Normandie warned me when she provided me with a copy that there would be a pretty big cliff hanger so that I could brace myself. She. Was. Not. Joking. I’ll be super excited to read the third installment in May to find out what happens.
Thank you to the author, Normandie Alleman, for providing me an arc of this book in exchange for my honest review.
When I received the ARC of the second book YESTERDAY (yeah you are reading correctly I directly devoured the book) … I went back for a second to the first book.
I read the blurb again, read my review to get my thoughts together on how and where I was when reading the first book (which is a usual behavior for me) … accidentally I noticed some reviews that where placed after I reviewed the book.
And frankly speaking I have a problem when I read “there was too much dirty talk” or “there was too much kinky stuff … Ahm …
IF I choose to read a book that mentions in its Blurb:
“Warning: If you’re not a fan of dirty talk or dominant alpha males, “Her Web Master” may not be for you, but if you're looking for a filthy online boyfriend who will make your toes curl, meet Sophie’s mysterious Dom”
I should not complain about kinky stuff or about dirty talk… I should simply say sorry I did not like the plotline or it did not work out for me.
Sorry but I had to mention that for once.
Coming back to the actual book. As mentioned, I read “Tested by Her Web Master” almost immediately after I received it. I knew I was going to like the writing style if it compared to the first book and I believe now that it became even better.
Ms. Alleman throws you unapologetically directly right into the story, which is a quite fitting way for a description of Sophie’s Relationship with her Dom. I am not sure what I can tell you about the plotline.
I liked that Blurb is not giving to much away and honestly as there are not many reviews there yet I do not want to be the one that throws the spoiler around.
So lets be vague …
Sophie’s Relationship with her Dom is developing but the question is … are they on the same page?
The things she would like to happen would mean a progress and it seems that he is quite content where they are. Or so it seems ? So when he approaches her with a new idea? Request? .. No… suggestion … no lets be fair... it is actually more a non-negotiable instruction / command – she only reluctantly follows.
I think she is not so sure herself of the reasons why. Because he is her Dom would be the simple answer … but is it really the only answer?
During the journey of this book, Sophie discovers more about herself and about her Dom. In addition, at one point there are revelations that will force their relationship to show its true face.
And Ms. Alleman, you can color me impressed … I have really no idea what will happen in the last part of the series … because so far we only know what Sophie feels but I just took a sneak a peek on the blurb of the third part … and If this really promises a view into the mind of our “Dom” … I can hardly wait …
Quentin feels himself wanting more with Sophie and that scares him. All he needs is to ensure that her relationship with him doesn't continue to intensify, which is hard to do being that he can't control his desire for her. He thought he knew what he wanted but the aftermath is harsher than he anticipated, can he admit he was wrong?
Ahhh this book was perfect. I love love love Quentin, which is questionable on my part because he is kind of messed up. I just love that no matter how rough or how harsh he is, he can still manage to be sweet and caring. Through out this book you get to see more about his past and it is really interesting to find out what made him the man he became. And it all made me love him even more. Sophie really surprised me in this book, she completely let go of everything that is right and proper and really starts to embrace the new woman that she has become. I love how she really stood up for herself in this book, it was really refreshing to see how far she has come.
The first book in the series was really good but this one really went beyond what I expected from it. The character development was phenomenal and the plot enticed me from the very beginning. I really can't believe some of the things that happened. The cliff hanger at the end for example... I need the final book in this trilogy and I need it fast. Normandie once again surprised me with another fantastic read.
Just as things start to take a turn neither saw coming, Quentin draws a bomb on Sophie that tears them apart. Sophie isn't sure what to do or think now and to make matters worse, she gets some life changing news.
But now that Sophie wants to end it all, what will Quentin do? Will he let her walk away forever or try to make things up to her? And what will happen with Sophie's new get out?
This book continues the provocative story between two people that haven't had the best of luck in past relationship, but the passion that flows between them can't be denied or contained. Quentin's unique way of pushing Sophie's limits is invigorating. I love how Sophie is always trusting in Quentin's techniques even though she's always had a sheltered life. She scared but excited about the life she is creating for herself.
Quentin is open about his life in some areas, but in other areas he's still mysterious. The more Sophie pushes, the more he tries to push her away, however at the same time, he's opening up a little at a time. But the things he does share about his past is unexpected.
This book is an exhilarating experience that will have you begging for more. And the cliffhanger will leave you amazed. I don't know what the future holds for this couple, but I can't wait to see what will happen next.
