Format: Paperback
Goldie Silver - Owns an antique shop in Juneau, Alaska
Godiva Olivia DuBois - Author of the famous relationship column Ask G.O.D.

Caesar - Famous TV chef - or is he?

Flossie Silver - Female magician.

Sterling Silver - Male magician.

Two Ladies from the Russian Orthodox Church - church ladies.

Father Innocent - Retiring Priest.

Rimsky - Father Innocent's helper.

Father Augustine - Priest that will take over for Father Innocent.

Two very ugly ladies - Very possibly not 'ladies.'

Boris & Igor Dumkovsky - two very mean Russians.

Now, just what can all of these people have in common? Well, Goldie and Godiva are twin sisters. Caesar is Godiva's boyfriend, Flossie is the mother of the twins and Sterling is their father's brother, known to them by the affectionate name of 'Unk.'

But where is the connection between the 'family' members and the other characters? It all has to do with The Seven Deadly Samovars, or Tea Pots if you live in America. It seems the Tea Pots were shipped from Russia to Goldie's shop but were lost in transit. The Church Ladies had ordered one through Goldie as a retirement gift for Father Innocent. When they are finally discovered they seem to live up to their name 'Deadly.' People start dying, Tea Pots start missing and the mystery starts spinning as the twins do a little detective work to track down the missing pots and find the killer or should I say killers.

This book, as all Morgan St. James and Phyllice Bradner books, gives you suspense, humor and a special surprising twist at the end. I can't get enough of their writings and hope they come out with yet another Silver Sisters Mystery very soon.

I absolutely love this series. The Silver Sisters are awesome and, let's not forget Flossie and Sterling. This series brings it all, fun, humor and definitely a fine mystery. You'll crack up just hearing the names of people. I urge you to read this series. You're in for a great time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Do you really know who you are doing business with? 21 Dec. 2014
By Lindah - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
When the Silver Sisters are involved in a mystery it is always such a pleasure to solve the mystery with them. A splendid job. I think one of the hardest things to do when you are writing is to come up with believable names for the characters. By giving them silly names as in this series you solve the problem splendidly. You do not find out who the person in Alaska is that is running the smuggling ring until the last few pages. The two Russians trying to get their hands on all the tea pots are so easy to find out. The man from the Russian church supposedly helping the aged priest is a surprise but the head of the ring can't be worked out easily. St James's stories are such fun. The Silver sisters are people we would like to count among our long time friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars ANOTHER GREAT LAUGH 16 Dec. 2014
By Yvonne Crowe - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Another funny book in the Silver Sisters Crime Caper series, this time set in Juneau, Alaska. It features Goldie, her identical twin, Godiva, who is a syndicated Beverly Hills advice columnist, Godiva's celebrity chef boyfriend who featured prominently in the first book A Corpse in the Soup, and the twins’ zany 81 year old mother, along with various relatives. There is never a dull moment.
Sales of rare genuine Russian samovars, which were delivered instead of cheap knockoffs, sets off a series of murders and attacks on the purchasers. The girls are sure these are linked to the samovars, which they discover are cursed.
The town drunk is arrested and the twins know he is innocent, but cannot convince the police. It is left to them to uncover the identity of the real culprits and their quest takes them to Los Angeles.
There are plenty of twists and turns and a secret is revealed which Chef Romano would rather remained secret.
It’s a great read.
