Product Description

Product Description

An Arnold Schwarzenegger box set. The first film, 'Terminator' is James Cameron's much-imitated sci-fi classic. A humanoid cyborg from a future dominated by machines (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is sent back in time to kill the mother (Linda Hamilton) of the as-yet-unborn rebel leader John Connor. Meanwhile, the rebels also select an agent (Michael Biehn) to travel back in time and stop the Terminator, thereby ensuring that events follow their pre-ordained course. Whilst in the sequel, 'Terminator 2 - Judgement Day', young John Connor (Edward Furlong), the future leader of a human rebellion in a machine-dominated world, is under threat from the new T-1000 Terminator (Robert Patrick) - an improved, virtually unkillable model. The adult John sends a copy of the original Terminator (Schwarzenegger) back in time, this time to protect the boy and his mother, Sarah (Linda Hamilton). As the battle of the behemoths begins, those on the side of good realise that they can alter the future enough to stop the slaughter on 'Judgement Day' when the computers commenced Armageddon.

Two Words: Absolutely Fantastic.....this double Feature set is really a wonderful testament to the talents of all concerned with Terminator and T2:Judgement Day. James Cameron directs the two movies which his name has been most admiringly accustomed with for the last 19 years.
There is nothing really new in this box if you have seen the Special and Ultimate editions of The terminator and T2:JD respectively....what the distributor has done is put both of them in a box together and re-shelved them, but that doesn't make the set any less fantastic. At less than £18 with Amazon, how can you not want this????? This is two of the greatest action Sci-Fi's ever made!!!!! Lets Look Closer.....
THE TERMINATOR: This 1984 original is a great movie....its full of action; chases, explosions, fights and all kinds of other amazing things. Arnie is really scary as the Terminator (of course in this one he is the BAD GUY), definitely not a guy to mess with....Some great scenes here as well, such as in the Police Station, where the big man kills practically every cop after smashing through the front door with a van.....well, the guy loves to make an entrance.....Excellent supporting cast from Biehn and Linda Hamilton make this a complete joy and a MUST for fans of Arnie, James or the Action genre.
T2:JD: Come on, admit it.....we have all said many times that the Sequel is never as good as the original. Well, T2 is the first I have seen that blows its predecessor right out of the water!!! Terminator is a top class movie, yet this sequel has An excellent Plot, better special effects, better action sequences (especially the scenes with Arnie and the gattling Gun...Man!), and has again a wonderful supporting cast.

Terminator is the film that kick started the acting career of superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger. In the first movie he plays the 'Terminator' sent back through time by skynet to terminate the leader of the human resistance before he is even born. But the resistance sends a lone warrior from the future to protect the mother of John Connor (leader of resistance, not yet born) from the wrath of the terminator. This warrior actually turns out to be the father of Connor.
The second movie shows Arnold Schwarzenegger in a different light. John Connor, now 13 is targetted himself, rather than his mother. The resistance sends Arnold Schwarzenegger to protect Connor after they captured him and reprogrammed him. But Skynet sends a prototype T-1000 to terminate Connor. This terminator is much more sophisticated than the T-101 (Arnold Schwarzenegger). It is made from a metamorphic metal alloy (liquid metal). This means that more than luck is going to be needed to destroy this machine.
This box set includes both terminator motion pictures and also includes special features like deleted scenes.
This is a must buy for any terminator fan. And at 20 quid it is a bargain considering both dvd's cost 20 on their own.

This box set has it all, thousands upon thousands of special extras, plus the special edition of each film.
The first film is a classic with some brilliant special effects for that time (maybe not now though) and sets the whole scene for probably the best sequel EVER!!
The second film is just simply brilliant, this film was made over 12 years ago and even if released now, would still blow the competition away, the special effects are something to be marvelled at and arnie is still brilliant as the "good" terminator.
A fun film pack with over 10 hours of special features leaves u drooling for the 3rd one, which i must say is also an excellent addition to the T series.

Its Terminator 1 and 2 in the same box, which is a must in any dvd collection.
Terminator 1 is almost a horror action movie with that awesome 80's vibe and grittiness.
Terminator 2 is a straight up action movie with a ton of great one liners and memorable scenes and capture the 90's atmosphere perfectly. Only thing I would say about this amazing sequel is that the child actor of John Connor is a whinny little douche, otherwise perfect movie.

These 2 films are absolute classics. The picture and sound quality are amazing. You can also spend hours watching the extras. The DVD-ROM Feature to watch the movie with the script on the screen is an interesting gimmick but I felt that it ruined the atmosphere and was very distracting.
This set is a must have addition to any DVD collection. What more could you want the Movie that finally sent Arnie into the stratosphere and the follow up and in many ways better movie that set new standards in special effects.

The Terminator (1984) - Rising rapidly in esteem and cult status everywhere and rightly so - you don't get the status endowed by a BFI Modern Classic Film book lightly you know - still the only truly great film the current Governor of California OR director James Cameron is ever likely to make during our lifetime. Classic sci-fi with a head, tremendous pulsating plot mechanism, TECH NOIR nightclubs (oh James, your debt to the greatest American crime genre was both inspired and seriously hip at the time) and an outstanding, pounding music score that still sends the hairs on the back of your neck up in salute in anticipation. All-round solid gold 80s cinema at it's stunning finest.
