i couldn't put this book down from the moment i started.
i loved paul and joss there connection was so strong and so intense it was beautiful.
i loved following paul and joss's journey it was a beautifully told story it felt like i was there
it was also nice to catch up with gabe and autumn to
thank you kimberly for another exciting read.
i would reccomend this book to family and friends
I liked the fact that characters didn’t hang around, they were keen to have their story told and the scenario that surrounded them meant that their story was one that I needed to hear.
The story was well put together and the characters were ones that were both eclectic and engaging.
I loved the fact that the author gave their whole story pride of place, that we not only got to see what was occupying them t the minute but also what had shaped them in the past, what had made them into the people they were today and what they were to each other – I loved that whole picture – it made them more relatable.
The relationship between the two of them and the connection as just so absorbing that I totally fell in love with the pair of them.
They story was funny, they were light-hearted but committed and their relationship was divine.
Joss had issues that were still lurking under the surface but this was matched by the fact that Paul was still baring the scars of a relationship that left him nursing a broken heart – it is never the case that two soul are destined to meet with a clean slate – all the best couples baggage. And they did grow into a super couple, they held nothing back and I thank them for that.
Over and above the awesomeness that is Paul and Joss what else is there in the book, well let me tell you that there is more going on this book that you could possibly imagine – it has a whole heap of angst and issues.
Separately they have issue that they have to face but together the things that make them sit up and take notice are far from trivial.Read more ›
The story itself features some intense issues. We find out all about how Paul got his heart broken before he decided to leave for the Army and how he dealt with those issues. Then we have the heroine Joselyn, who has also suffered some horrible past misfortunes due to the sake of others. This was definitely not a fluffy read and some of these things were hard to stomach.
When Joselyn, who is an undercover detective comes to live with Paul due to an assignment, it is then when the sparks between the two begin to ignite.
It is clear from the start there is an obvious attraction to one another, but can they let go of their pasts enough to move forward. Both characters worked really well together and I loved them separately and as one.
To warn you this story ends on a cliff hanger but I believe this works well in setting us up for book three. Go and enjoy Paul and Joss now!
In book 2 we get Paul's story we got a sneak peek into Paul in book 1 he is best friend to Gabe. I really warmed to Paul in Angels and whiskey and I really fell in love with him in this book.
The story starts off with Joselyn as a teenager, and learn how her Mother sold her virginity when she was seventeen. We also get a glimpse into Paul's past after the woman he thought loved him completely crushed and broke his heart.
Back to the present and Joselyn is set to Las Vegas undercover as an escort for the FBI to try take down the mastermind behind a sex trafficking ring. Placed in the house with Paul, the sexual chemistry between them is off the charts, will she be able to trust Paul with her secrets and will Paul be able to handle it once he finds out who she really is.
This book had me gripped from the 1st page, my heart hurt for Joselyn for what she experienced and how a mother could do that to her child, Both Paul and Joselyn have scars that I just wanted them to share with each other. I really loved Paul's patience with Joselyn, how he knew something or someone had hurt her so bad but didn't want to push her to tell him, how he just let her be and hopefully she would trust him eventually to tell him
A truly wonderful read that will have you laughing, hurting, emotional and falling in love and not to mention a hot sexual chemistry that would melt ice and if that wasn't enough an OMG of a twist!!! Kimberly you got me cause I did not see that one coming
