You really don't need to be particularly interested in camping to enjoy the story and to share in Chris's entertaining travel experiences; you also certainly don't need to be male - I chuckled at it every bit as much as my husband did as there is plenty for everyone to relate to !
I also found that it was a considerably more educational read than I had been anticipating and there is much to interest those who wish to learn. I have to say that my husband and I have even discussed the possibility of trying to follow in the author's footsteps and taking the same journey !
I would recommend this book to anyone and I very much look forward to reading about Mr Lown's further travels ...
I hope there is more to come.
Thanks for a very enjoyable two days curled up reading it.
When are you heading to Cape Town? (Look up Lizzybus, a remarkable road trip but could have your writing skills to make an epic story)

Absolutely loved this intelligent, well-written and engaging book. I had been reading several "heavy" history books and this was the perfect easy and beguiling antidote.Published 3 months ago by charlie

I just couldn't get into this at all. It just seemed like a rather tedious ramble of daily life in one fairly dull household so I'm afraid I gave up.Published 7 months ago by Kaydee
