I'm from Glasgow but travel to London quite regularly, and quite stereotypically I'm used to the idea of the place being London-centric, in other words nowhere other than London really matters to folks from London. Of course that's all just complete nonsense usually peddled by us Jocks Up North, but reading this guide, in any event it's completely refreshing seeing London from an entirely new perspective, ie. using London as a base from which to experience the best of the cities and towns around it.

Usually when we head to London we'll stay there and do the usual things, get the tour bus, pick a show, dine at the best restaurants we can afford. Even though we drive we always get the train into London (with the exception of the odd time where we've flown via London for an international flight). Having read this brilliant guide though, my mind is now turning to the idea of heading down to London by train and catching another train or bus to one of the towns or cities listed, as believe it or not with our UK infrastructure it's often cheaper and easier doing it that way than finding a route directly between Glasgow and some of these places.

I loved how the guide's taken each place and described how to squeeze the best out of them, and am now itching to get to Stratford-upon-Avon in particular as I've been meaning to visit for ages and now have a good plan from the guide how to combine it with a trip to London.

So many thanks for this, I'll be using it now for all my future trips to London, and look forward to updates in the future.

Great idea, and it’s on tablet which makes using guide very easy. No pages or folds to deal with while searching for information.
