Sager is a gentleman in every possible sense of the word and up until now, he hasn’t actually had a lot to say for himself but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t actually have a lot to say because he does, he is just mindful of what he says and why.
From a childhood that was tainted with violence he has become the most amazing man with a heart and soul that almost defy description. That is not to say that he is perfect, far from it but he is perfectly able to get his point across. Although his poetic license is only tempered by the fact that he can actually keep a lid on his temper, only letting it out when absolutely necessary.
The band is his life but it is almost as if his connection to King is closer than with the others, they are as thick as thieves, but that is not to say that the others don’t hold a special place because they do, he wouldn’t be where he is without them and vica versa but can his relationship with the guys compare to what he feels for Melinda?
Because no matter what anyone else thinks, he “knows” who she is, he knows what makes her tick but no matter the opinions that others may have, including Melinda, he is resolute in the way he feels about her and he will not give that up…under any circumstances.
So with regards to Melinda, I wasn’t exactly sure that I wanted him to waste his time with her, I didn’t actually think she deserved him. Initially I didn’t see what on earth did he saw in her, I felt as if I was missing something? But I gave her the benefit of the doubt because of how I felt about Sager and I was pleasantly surprised that she started to redeem herself as the story moved on.Read more ›
Firstly I haven't read the previous books and wish I had prior to picking up Tempting Tempo.
It took me a while to get lost in the story and part of that is because I haven't read previous books and I was trying to figure out what had previously happened and who was who.
Saga Reed is the bassist in Tempest he's a deep artistic person and not the typical boy band or man whore kind of character his eyes are solely fixated on one person and that is Melinda, his Blue.
Melinda has seen the rock-star lifestyle being brought up in the world when her dad was a star once upon a time, she knows music and is gifted with her own vocal talents, however her heart is in skiing and training to be a champion.
Two very different lifestyles but two people who are one with the soul.
Tempting Tempo is a second chance romance, Blue and Sager had been together before, a one night stand where they both felt a strong connection but Melinda ran from her feelings due to insecurities bestowed upon her from her upbringing.
Things happened with the band and group of friends that got Melinda shunned from the group and I presume all this happens in the previous books.
She was a temptation I couldn't resist. Every facet of her personality intrigued me. I wanted to take away the shadows that sometimes darkened her eyes.
It's a great read with hidden messages and deep meanings behind the words written. At times it's heartwarming and moving and hot in all the right places.Read more ›
This is a beautifully written story, and I highly recommend this authors work for all. I cannot wait to read more of this authors work.
Sager Reed had a seriously tough up bringing. So today to be the bassist in a band that is getting bigger by the day is completely unreal to him. Being a part of rock band Tempest is life changing for Sager and his band brothers, who are also like his family, as most of his biological family are in prison. With most of his band brothers now partnering off and settling down, with the exception of King/Juaquin, Sager himself is no longer finding the groupies and partying alluring. Not after that one night with his pixie.
Sayers pixie is Melinda Belle. AKA Blue, AKA Bluebelle. Yep this makes sense once you read the book. Melinda is trying to make it on her own, after being cut off by her dad for not following his wishes for how her life should pan out. Him wanting her to stay in education, work in music, but her desire was to ski. So once Melinda joined a freestyle ski team, she had to fend for herself financially. Being the new girl on the team wasn’t easy and for money Melinda was also modelling on the side. Melinda was under immense pressure to be at the lowest weight possible for extra speed for her skiing and to also have the perfect figure for modelling.
Sager and Melinda want each other. She thinks she has broken any chance with him after betraying the band (book #4, Relentless Rhythm), but Sager understands people make mistakes and just wants this woman as his.Read more ›
