HASH(0x8b4e66a8) out of 5 stars A lot of repeated info 30 May 2013
By Catholic and Married with Kids - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
If you've read "The Temperament God Gave You," you really don't need to buy this one or the one for your kids. The authors just seem to be out to make more cash - so many sentences and stories were simply copied and pasted from their original title that it becomes annoyingly repetitive and you wonder why they couldn't at least use original material for their follow-up books.

HASH(0x8bcb8e34) out of 5 stars Beautiful Resource! 29 Sept. 2010
By J. Steed - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
The book starts out with what the traditional Greek temperaments are and what they look like, both with traits, examples and even how they interact with others. Once you know the temperament of you and your spouse, this book is amazing. I was astounded to find out how accurate it was! In fact, once we had finished our tests, I read him the text out loud, and he commented on how it's amazing that two people so different can live together at all. They also include a Winnie-the-Pooh character as a sort of example :). A chapter is spent on communicating with each different type of temperament. Then they get to the nitty gritty...how each couple should best interact with each other.

This book is fabulous! I can't tell you how all my husband's little idiosyncrasies suddenly dissolved while I was reading this book. It's just the way he is. Just like I'm picky about having things just so, he is, well, not. I would recommend this book to anyone hoping to understand their significant other better. I would also recommend it to anyone who really just needs to figure out how to determine how to deal with someone they just don't understand (at work, in your family, or among friends/acquaintances). This is an excellent book to add to your home library for future reference/frequent reminder :). I thoroughly recommend it!

HASH(0x8b6f9630) out of 5 stars The Temperament God Gave your Spouse 17 Feb. 2009
By Rose Flaman-trehas - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I have now read The Temperament God Gave You and The Temperament God Gave Your Spouse. Both are excellent books! Not only is the information extremely valuable when understanding the most effective way to communicate with your spouse/others but these books are easy to follow. The Bennett's clearly explain the temperaments and give practical tools to incorporate the information into your lives. The books are filled with great little stories which make you smile/laugh (depending of course on your temperament.) These books are great gifts for an engaged couple, married couple or for grandparents, who, after 50 years, continue to love beyond measure. I highly recommend both Temperament books. Happy Reading... Happy Marriage! Rose

HASH(0x8c15d3a8) out of 5 stars Mother's/Father's Day Gift No Brainer! 3 Mar. 2009
By David C. Wilder - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
The greatest gift one can give their spouse is the gift of unconditional love. Making that gift IMHO becomes easier once you've come to a mature acceptance of the temperament God gave them. To get the temperament issue wrong is to risk getting everything else wrong. The authors have clearly laid out a workable roadmap to gain just such an acceptance and right understanding. All readers will see in their meaningful and (thank you) interestingly witty anecdotes a mirror image of their own life's reflection...at least I know I have. If I had to throw out every book on my shelf (God forbid) and keep only three to live my marriage by for the year (and for life), the Bennett's latest work would be left standing (next to my Bible and Harley's HNHN). If you're looking for a meaningful gift for a spouse, friend, parent you truly love...your search is over!

HASH(0x8b6ac7c8) out of 5 stars Highly recommend if married or preparing for marriage 21 Mar. 2012
By Heather J. Keimig - Published on Amazon.com

I picked this up on my parish's lending library cart last fall and AM SO GLAD I DID! Wow! We have been married for 15 years (and some change) and both greatly enjoyed reading this book, which we chose to do reading it aloud to one another in the evenings. We laughed! We smirked! We elbowed each other. We saw matter for confession - both to one another and sacramentally. This is a good book!
We also do a fair bit of marriage prepartion of engaged couples and are now giving couples a copy as part of their "homework" as we walk through the process with them. And we gave a bunch of copies as gifts to family and friends this past Christmas.
It will only help you understand your spouse (or spouse-to-be) more clearly, and that's important when accepting and loving each other completely. This book will help your marriage be healthier and happier!
