The Action of what there is is good but short. There's about only three quick fight scenes spread out throughout the the 105 Minutes and it isn't enough.
The worst thing about this is the plot and Characters. It just feels empty and flat. It has some interesting moments but I doubt any true Tekken Fan will enjoy this.
Overall, it feels like a big cash grab that was just used to sell its new game. Its okay but at the same time very stupid and very dumb even for a anime, video game, film.
Apparently taking place between the fifth and sixth games `Tekken: Blood Vengeance' is supposedly canon but if this is the case it apparently causes some continuity errors (I haven't played Tekken 6 so I cannot say for sure). The plot of the film isn't great and could have used a bit more thought in places. The English voice actors do a reasonable job but the films script is not great with some rather corny and clichéd lines. Also the lip-sinking for the English dub is terrible in places. Another minor let-down is that only around eight or nine of the characters from the game have any decent screen time in the film but the series does have more than fifty characters and it would be asking a bit much for all of them to appear in a ninety-two minute film.
On the plus side the CGI animation is brilliant in places and although the ultimate finale is something of a let-down, many of the fights up until then are very nicely done. As well as this there are some quite funny moments throughout the film, especially whenever Lee Chaolan makes an appearance.
Overall `Tekken: Blood Vengeance' is a film that could have been a lot better but it does have some nice moments and although these don't make up for the films faults, it does push the score up to three stars.
