After a lifetime of not knowing what to do, RAF Officer, TV delivery driver, drug rep, trainer, computer guy ... I'd even spent three summers running a naturist resort in Portugal. I decided to try something new and retired.
Ted and Mrs Bun moved to L'Olivette, our little paradise in the South of France, and started offering relaxing holidays in our gîte. (www.handluggageholidays.co.uk )
During the long evenings of the quiet season, a novella started to take shape, "The Uncovered Policeman." This was my first book, the first in a series of over 12 novellas, in which the central characters first meet, was published on Valentine's Day 2016.
A light, cosy mystery with a cast of pleasant happy people, with quirky characters.
The New House trilogy, about a couple's first year of retirement in France, followed. I should have called it "A Year in Occitanie" but I think that had been done before!
More recently Crooke and Loch launch their careers, solving mysteries and crimes in "The Summer of '71" and "Runners and Riders."
2020 marked the debut of another character ... Melody. A lady of a certain age, a generous size and blinding intellegence.

Eventually, you find the right house, in the right location, at the right price!
You put in an offer.
The vendor says yes.
The legal process grinds through all the necessary steps.
The place is yours!

As Jerry and Fran move into their new house in the village of Las Lilas, they are about to find out!!
(Ted Bun has) chosen to write this one in two ‘first persons’, alternating the narration between Jerry, the husband, and Fran, the wife. This device allows the author to exploit, in a good natured way, the comedy of the differences between their views of themselves and that of their spouse. more from James Gault's ★★★★★review

Jerry and Fran Tilson ran away to France a few months ago. (read the story in New House … New Neighbours)
Today is a big day in becoming part of the community. They are having a housewarming party for their new friends and neighbours.
Then after the party, there is the long anticipated visit from Fran's aunt ... the slightly(?) bohemian Gillian.
Turns out that it is a life changing visit, but for whom?
The nude romance collection of this or any other year!
A worthy addition to the canon of naturist literature.
Seventeen writers, eighteen stories, all with a common objective: portraying a romance at a naturist venue somewhere in the modern, Western world. Young love, love between seniors, love twixt people who have just met, the rekindling of old loves, laments for loves lost. They are all included.
Naturist fiction is a relatively new genre where social nudism and casual nudity play a significant role in plot, character, setting, and/or conflict in the story. For this volume, a follow-up anthology to Murder in the Nudist Colony, the challenge was to take a traditional plot—that of a romance—and have the setting be a nudist colony, or as many now call them, a naturist park or resort.
Does the setting change the rules of such a story, or the nature of the characters involved, or the plot? That is a question to be answered by you, the reader, once you have read these stories. You will be pleasantly surprised.

As Sam came round, a stabbing pain in her chest made her wince. She was hurting everywhere. Her eyes were stuck, swollen shut. She struggled to move and pain shot through her arms and legs.
