Mostly works really well, allowing me to hear the doorbell upstairs or downstairs without any need for wires etc. However, occasionally it only sounds upstairs for some reason, and I've missed callers because of this. It's not a repeatable fault, just randomly fails sometimes.
There's a large selection of chiming tunes (a bit of a pain to scroll through when choosing one!) including conventional ding-dong and Christmas and other tunes. Very easy to install, no drilling or cables needed, just stick the buzzer on the outside door frame, and plug the units into convenient sockets.

I have bought a few of these now. The first one was a couple of years back when I got fed up buying batteries for a door bell that I bought from B&Q, nothing wrong with the doorbell it just seemed to eat batteries!
I bought the version which has two bells so that I could put one in the hall and the other upstairs where my home office is located. The bell push has been on the front door for about two years now and still on original battery. The doorbell receivers are still working perfectly and have a good volume. There are an insane number of ring tunes to choose from - some frankly quite ridiculous but a good selection of more traditional tunes.
The bell unit - receivers simply plug into a convenient 3 pin socket and fit neatly and unobtrusively, they also incorporate a bright flashing blue light when the door bell is rung this is a great visible indicator for those who are hard of hearing or the bell is placed in a noisy environment.
I have since bought the same unit for my parents and sister both seem very pleased with the bell. My parents next door neighbour asked if I would order one for them as they too became fed up replacing batteries and the doorbell push on their old unit had begun to show signs of wear - I wish I was on commission!!

The flash of the light is useful at night when we turn the volume down, but still like to know if there’s someone at the door.
Easy enough to fit, just plug in and stick the button to the door frame and you’re done. The flexibility of being able to take the soundest from room to room, or out into the garden shed is a godsend.
Battery life seems to be pretty good so far.

My old doorbell broke so I sent for this new one. As I had occasionally not heard my old door bell I sent for this Tecknet door Bell with two chime boxes, which plug into a mains outlet so don't need batteries. The second Chime is a really good idea. I mainly use it in my bedroom when on my computer and it has come in useful there. I have also plugged it into the garden shed whilst gardening and it works there too.
The door Bell and chimes are very good build quality and all you need to fit the bell is provided in the box so you don't need to buy anything else to fit the bell. There are lots of music settings for the chimes and three volume levels as well as a mute. The doorbell lights up when pressed so the visitor knows the bell is operational and the chimes also light up when the bell is pressed so you can still use the chimes when muted.
I chose this bell and chimes because of the number of good reviews and, as they are so good I am adding my own review.

I really like this doorbell. I like the dark colour and the light up circle. It's really easy to use and I like the different chimes. It sounds a lot better than my old doorbell and the sound can be heard clearly. We have one upstairs and the other downstairs. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is due to the brand name right in the middle of the circle, it is subtle and overall I am happy I purchased it.
