but for all that, it's easy to set up, seems pretty sturdy and is a decent price. as per the general rule of thumb, you get what you pay for!
Unfortunately though, as numerous other sellers have reported: after 2 weeks it stopped working. The doorbell just won't sync with the receiver unit. I have of course tried various reset/reconnect methods and changing batteries. Nothing.
TeckNet customer support are next to useless, takes over a week for a response and they tell you to make sure you're using the right batteries? It's not even worth the postage to send it back to them, time to cut my losses and stick the whole lot in the bin.
We bought a replacement direct from Tecknet and the service could not have been better. We had the same issue again, but this time they shipped a fully working replacement.
I've no idea why the bellpush and main unit struggle to sync (same fault twice), but if you get a fully working one it really is very good. Inside and outside temp, good "ding dong" noise - not at all sure about the other noises. Clear clock, haven't used the alarm. Both adhesive and screw fixings were included. It's very easy to use, and the supplied instructions are clear.
Really good job, thanks guys!
The wireless door bell function stopped working after a few months.
Now left with a clock alarm thermometer only. Not what I bought it for.
