The case itself fits the my Kindle 6" Wi-Fi perfectly. It's padded, its light in weight and protects the device well. The lamp included illuminates well but unfortunately the mechanism to clip it to the case broke the second time I used it. The mechasnism is a plastic clip similar to something mounted on a biro for allowing the biro to be clipped to a shirt securely. In the case of my kindle-illumination it was just too brittle to be practical for me. The illuminator takes digital watch type batteries too so although this keeps it light; it will also make battery replacement less hassle-free. If you want a Case I would defintetly recommend this. If what you want is a good lighting option for your kindle there are probably better products out there.

The case itself is great; it's well made, fits the new (September 2012) Kindle perfectly, and feels robust. I trust it with my Kindle's cosmetic and physical safety. It's not as streamlined as the official Amazon case with LED light, but on the other hand it has a magnetic clasp whereas the official case strangely has no closure at all.

The case also comes with a screen protector which I think is to prevent the dye bleed against the back of the Kindle which some customers have complained about. I guess this is what it's for, since it's too large for the Kindle's screen. The only problem is that the back of the new Kindle is sort of grippy hard rubber, not smooth plastic, so it can't be applied to it. On the other hand the new Kindle is also black, and the case is black, so dye bleed is not a concern for me.

The free LED light is okay, however the clip is quite spindly and the bulb rattles with the slightest vibration so it can be fairly annoying. The flexible swan neck works well and as long as the clip holds firm this means the light stays exactly where you put it. Unfortunately I found that the three batteries ran out in under an hour, and the spares kindly supplied in the package are unfortunately a bit short - you get two, not three.

Anyway... at 1/4 the price of the official Amazon version, this purchase really is a no-brainer.

Unfortunately this cover has just reinforced my opinion that when looking to buy these kind of products which you are going to live with and use for a long period of time you really should fork out a few more quid on a higher quality item. I've since sold this and bought the cover I should have bought in the first place, the marware Atlas's case for just a few pounds more but much higher quality.

Having said that it gets 3 stars as its not bad for the money. you get what you pay for basically.

A few things stand out when reviewing this case, the cheap, overly padded faux leather... bulks out the kindle too much.

A pet peeve of mine (I'm a designer), the ugly TeckNet logo is way too prominent, it's on both sides so there is not getting away from it. The logo on the clasp being the worst offender.

The magnetic clasp is a pain to align to snap shut.

The good things, it holds the kindle securely, offers good protection. That's it really, and for £8.99 it's kind of what you should expect... I'd just recommend spending a bit more if, like me you are fussy about these kind of things.

Having at long last taken the plunge and bought my self a Kindle I went back to looking for a cover for it. While debating with myself on wether to join the Kindle brigade I had been taking a long look at all the various cover's for them. The dedicated Kindle cover I found to be too expensive. Coming in at about half the price of the Kindle itself, it was always going to be a non starter. All the other covers that I found had the small elastic bands over each corner of the Kindle and I just hated them on first sight. For a while I thought to my self that I would just have to really be careful with my Kindle as it seemed destined to remain cover free. Then, on reading through the review's, just as you are doing now, I found the answer to all my problems. This person had gone through all the same hassel's that I had, but he had found the answer. Step forward the TeckNet NEW Kindle 4 Premium Folio Case / Cover With Magnetic Clasp. I sent off for it straight away and it arrived in a matter of days. I was not disappointed. The cover fits the Kindle perfectly, leaving room on the sides for the page turning buttons and room at the bottom for the on/off button and the charging socket. The magnetic clasp holds the cover closed with ease and keeps the screen covered with no problems. When I am reading I fold the cover back behind the Kindle and I can hold it and still use the buttons with the same hand. The cover looks good as the material looks and feels like leather and of course the best bit is that you get all this at a fraction of the price of the dedicated Kindle cover. I will be upgrading soon to the Paperwhite and it is with great pleasure that I found the TeckNet make the cover for that one as well.

All in all this is a product to be recommended to all kindle user's.

I was looking for a cover to my Kindle whilst out in the States but they were all nearly as much as the Kindle itself. A friend had this one and it is excellent for the money. Packaging could have been better as the front has an indentation which will not seem to come out.
