Positives:

- For £7.97 delivered the quality is not bad at all.

- Well padded covers offers good protection. I would be happy to throw this case with ipad into my luggage/ handbag knowing my ipad would be pretty well protected.

- The ipad mini (1st gen) clips into the plastic case very securely. Once in the ipad is very hard to remove. The plastic case has a felt backing.

- Auto sleep/wake works fine.

- Elasticated strap stops the front cover opening in transit (and stops the auto sleep/wake from going on and off).

- The notches holds the ipad in the stand positions very well, there is no slippage.

Negatives:

- The biggest negative for me is the viewing angle of the stand. It is just too steep in landscape and portrait mode.

In portrait mode the steepness makes it pretty much useless.

If you want to use the stand in landscape mode for notifications, or as a kind of digital photo frame, and have the ipad sitting at an adults arms length away on a desk, then the angle might be okay for you. However if you want the ipad any closer to you, for viewing movies or web browsing, then it is just too steep.

The steep viewing angle *might* be okay for small children.

- With the pen in the holder the front cover does not close/ align properly with the back cover. Hence you cannot really keep a pen there.

- Due to the small camera cut-out and thickness of the case, the ipad's camera is slightly obscured. (Solution: Before taking a photo, twist the ipad slightly clockwise so that the camera lens is clear/ out of the case).

Other:

- I did not use the included screen protector, so cannot comment on this item.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT - IT IS NOT AS SHOWN ON THE PICTURES AND THE DESCRIPTION IS NOT CORRECT. IT SHOULD NOT BE ADVERTISED AND SHOULD HAVE THE CORRECT PICTURE AND DESCRIPTION. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
THE IPAD CASE IS TOO SMALL - VERY DIFFICULT TO FIT AND NOT VERY SECURE
NO CAMERA HOLE SO YOU CAN'T TAKE PICTURES WHEN THE IPAD IS IN THE CASE
NO PEN
NO PROTECTOR
IT HAS CREDIT CARD SLITS ON ONE SIDE
PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
ALSO, THE FIRST CASE WASN'T EVEN DELIVERED SO I HAD TO CHASE THE SELLER TO SEND ME THIS ONE. A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY.

After searching far and wide on Amazon, I decided to give this iPad mini case a go considering the cheap price and overall functionality. First, the good. For 8 quid you are getting a lot: a folio type case with adjustable viewing angles, a dual ball point/stylus pen and a screen protector. The front flap will turn the iPad on when it is opened and put it on standby when it is closed. The iPad clips into a grey plastic frame which is itself attached to the case. Along the edges of the frame are four plastic tabs which are used to slot into holes made in the inside left of the case to keep the tablet firmly in place when you angle the screen. Of all the case's features, this is the best one. It's hard to find a case, at any price, that guarantees both multiple viewing angles and a system to hold your iPad securely in place without the whole thing toppling over when you breathe on it, let alone try typing or tapping the screen. The included dual function pen looks like a regular ball point, with the exception that the top has a small rubber nub. As a stylus it works, although I did find you had to press down on the screen and not just touch it, for it to work. Of course, the stylus is by no means a magical device, your iPad cannot sense different pressure levels with it, so this isn't a replacement for a graphics tablet, just an alternate pointing device instead of your finger. The screen protector I didn't try out but it's, well, a screen protector. How bad can it be?

Now, on to the bad. While the case build is ok, it really does look like a case that costs 8 pounds. Now obviously, when you buy a Kia you can't expect it to look like a Bentley, but the fake leather looks a little too cheap and plasticky, and the finish of the stitching, while adequate, isn't the finest.

Brought for my 7 year old sisters I pad mini and has been very durable, no sign of wear but more importantly has been excellent and protecting it from tumbles. The case feels nice with a leather effect texture.

This case Does exactly what it claims and, for the money, is very good value. Seems hard wearing and well made.

I bought this particular case, since I purchased one for my wife and her iPad and I bought this colour to coordinate with my business colours if ever used for such a purpose. To my mind seeing and using the case, it must be one of the best value cases around, it allows generous access to all buttons and switches that a user needs to get at and again generous access of hole for taking picture (back/front cameras) along with a reasonable amount of hole for the sound. Since iPad cases will take some serious wear and tear, I could justify in buying a really expensive case but will be more than happy to buy this type of case over and over again should I need to do so. TeckNet Rocks!!!
