So - After purchase, it took exactly 2 days to get here with FREE delivery, i mean that itself, is absolutely fantastic!
So - Ive removed them from the box, they are somewhat, very sturdy, beautifully crafted, amazing colors and textures, especially the actual lighting effects, and the fact they come with 7.1 surround, and Flashing LEDs adjustable to music! Lovely!
The sound - Is incredible, like honestly, amazing, great bass, with certain tinkers, the sound is heavenly, honestly.
And here in lies the problem.
The microphone, is the most disgusting, hideous piece of excuse of a mic, ive come across in my life!
Now i read the OTHER reviews, not just the 4-5 stars that amazon constantly spam at the top of there pages to encourage buyers!
And i noticed all 2 stars, all had the same thing in common, that i now too share.
The mic is ROTTEN, the sound, is so disgusting, my friends actually complained of having to turn me up to 20+DB extra on teamspeak, just to hear me.
I went through EVERY possible god damn setting you can imagine, from in windows sound settings (Recording) adjusting all slides/filters up, DB up, everything, and the sound was so bad - you know why?
Because of the design of it.
The mic is straight + plastic, does not bend, there for CANNOT be adjusted too your mouth, and it sits so far away from your mouth, it has trouble PICKING UP THE SOUND OF MY VOICE!
Seriously, ive tested every possible test, using teamspeak 3 - windows recorder - everything.
What i noticed was, by leaving the mic down, in its normal position, it would struggle to pick up my sound of voice, however, when i placed my lip almost touching it, but just away enough to leave room, the sound picked up fantastic, which brings me back too the underlying problem, you cannot adjust or BEND the mic at all to position it closer too your mouth, so you are 100% guaranteed, to struggle on it picking up your sound, trust me, you will struggle unless you practically yell constantly, even then it struggles.
So on THAT note alone, i gave it 3 stars - and i was being kind, seriously, if not for the actualy packaging, pricing and delivery speed, this item would be a 1 star, and trust me, its getting sent back as i type.
Do yourself a favour - And please believe me, i have been a Tecknet lover, ever since people were rocking turtle beaches, dres, and all these fancy £150 headsets, and i have ALWAYS trusted in tecknet to deliver the same results, and they always have, hell, the only reason i got these, is because the ones i had before - by the way, which are supposed to be the same as these ones, but there a completely different model, my old ones have a longer rubber mic, that can bend, but didnt even have too, because the mic was 100% quality.
What im saying is, dont deter from Tecknet in general, there products are on par with some of the big dogs out there, however, this particular product, the mic design is flimsy, and a joke.
Bring back BENDING rubber mics!
Not these stupid flick blade plastic ones.
The picture ive attatched, is my old set, which just died on me, after years - and they cost me less during a winter sale from amazon, THESE where the ones i wanted, and still want, because they blow these 7.1 ones, out the water.

I found that the sound was pretty good even without the additional driver supplied on the disk in the box. The right driver, however, makes a significant difference in sound and controls. Run the setup file on the disk. This will select the correct driver for your operating system (available for Win XP through to Win 10). The computer will need to be restarted before you can continue. This took some time for me and then I realised that I had a Windows cumulative update running at the same time (doh). It is worth playing with the settings for the headset, instructions for which are provided on the enclosed leaflet. You can probably get them from the website too. Suffice to say, to access the menu, right click the notification icon for the headset and choose OPEN. To open advanced menus for either the speakers or the microphone, double click the icon on the left and select from the provided menu. I attach a couple of screenshots, but you should read the instructions for full information, if necessary.
When I put the headset on for the first time it felt quite heavy. It’s adjustable which is a good thing, but I have a small head and I’m not sure it would fit well on a head much larger than mine. By the time I finished this review, my head was a bit sore. I think the headset is a little heavy and quite tight, although I expect it will loosen up with wear.
A noise cancelling microphone is located on the left side which can be swung forward and down. This is at a comfortable distance from the mouth and works well.
The cable is good length at around 1.8 metres with a braided case in red and white. This braiding helps with strengthening the cable, preventing tangling and also prevents cross-talk. On the cable are buttons to increase and decrease the volume, microphone mute button and a button to turn the headset lights on or off.
A very reasonably priced gaming headset and certainly good sound (with a little fiddling) and also good for Skype, music, movies and other activities.
