Loved this book, one of the few written books that actually had me laughing out loud in a public place (on the train to work!). Easy to read, well organised so it can be read in asingle sitting or in bits and bats when yiou have time, with a genuine love and affection for the subject shining through

As a teacher who qualified in 1989, I well remember the first time I met a "Sheena" and trying to encourage the child for whom sports day was a nightmare.
Very accurate account of teaching in the late 80's

Having loved 'All Teachers Great and Small', I couldn't wait to get my hands on this - and I wasn't disappointed. Andy Seed writes about his life in the dales with warmth and humour and his evocative descriptions of the natural beauty of the area transport the reader to windswept crags and enchanting secret waterfalls - as well as into his little portakabin classroom.
'All Teachers Wise and Wonderful' continues where the first book left off, but here we find Andy a further couple of years into his teaching career, seemingly more at ease and confident in his abilities as a teacher...until Sheena arrives!
Anybody who has ever been in a school staffroom will appreciate the accounts of discussions between teachers gulping down snatched sips of tea inbetween lessons, and the trials and tribulations of dealing with 30 children every day!

Another excellent offering from a skilled and talented writer - roll on the next one!

I really did try to savour this book but once started I was like a kid in sweet shop.... simply couldnt put it down and found myself rushing the house work and other chores to make time to read this gem of an offering. If you need a laugh after this long winter then this is the book for you . I wont spoilt it.. I hate it when people write too much in their reviews.. just to say I agree with other reviewers about the sports day... hilarious does not do it justice! Well worth the money.. I did pay a bit more than I usually do for a kindle book but its one I will treasure and the next one is pre ordered.

What a read! I laughed so much - mainly at two incidents involving poo, I sighed over poor Sheena and I rejoiced with Donna. I recognised Joyce and Val and pictured Reuben squashed into his cot.
I've been a teacher for 24 years - the last 20 in Cornwall and I've read many books set in schools over the years. I can honestly say this latest gem was my favourite.

Thank you Andy Seed for reminding me how lucky I am to teach.

This is the follow-up to All Teachers Great and Small and picks up Andy's life a year after the end of that - he is no longer the 'probationer' but is a fully fledged teacher with some experience under his belt.

A good, fun, heart-warming read. If you like Gervais Phinn and Jack Sheffield then you should definitely try this as well.
