Product Description

Kurt, Brian, Penny, Matt and Lindsay are the teachers no parent would want teaching their kids. And they’re back for a new 13 part series that sees them making friends, falling out, trying to figure out the opposite sex, smoking in the playground… and dealing with lippy pupils. It’s business as usual for the young teachers specialising in immaturity rather than the traditional subjects. Brian and Kurt are still dreaming of getting laid, and they’ve met their match with new biology teacher Lindsay – she can drink a pint in 1.3 seconds, she likes curry and she can out-blunt any of the boys! Back in the photocopier room, Matt (married with kids) and Penny have managed to find the perfect work/play balance and are enjoying some extra curricular activity of their own. And what of everyone’s favourite teacher who quit teaching to go travelling in the last series? Andrew Lincoln returns as Simon, and he doesn’t receive the welcome he had hoped for when he surprises! his old mates.

This release contains episodes 1 – 13 of Series Three.

Executive Producer - Jane Fallon Producer - Rhonda Smith Directed by Brian Kelly, Otto Bathurst, Jonathan Fox Bassett, Susanna White and Andrew Lincoln Written by Ed Roe, Richard Stoneman, Andrew Rattenbury, Charlie Martin, Tony Basgallop and Jack Lothian Series created by Tim Loane

Teachers Series 3 is an excellent comedy drama however it doesn't live up to expectations after series 1 and 2. Unfortunately the series misses Simon, Susan and Jenny and the new characters just aren't as strong. Penny is still a bit out of place and Matt is a bit boring to be part of the gang. Lindsey fits in great though as a bit of a cross between Simon and Susan. Bob is given a bigger role but again he just doesn't seem to fit in. The series is still pretty funny though and if u haven't seen series 1 and 2 then its great. Brian and Kurt are still hilarious but even they miss Simon and the bickering with Jenny. Make the most of it though because series 4 is abysmal, i dont expect to see series 5 unless there are big changes.

Back for a new term with more fun.
With Simon off travelling, the shoes are left for Brian & Kurt to fill, and they do!
Bob's still around, Silicone inplanted Penny and secretery Liz, the foundations for a another great year are definately on the cards, and they don't disappoint.
Newcomers Lyndsy and Matt bring a new approach to the team, Lyndsy the fat Geordie, and Matt the married idle.
Storylines between Bob and Liz, Matt and Penny, and strangly enough, Brian & Kurt, make this series the best yet.
The best episode to date, second from the end, when Kurt becomes confined to a wheelchair is fantastic.
So if you love your comedy, buy this, or all three in the boxset.
You wont be able to press stop!

Well at the end of season 2 Simon left and when we start back Susan, Jenny and JP have left no explanation. Even when Simon comes back he doesn't ask about them. And with new teachers Matt and Lyndsey this is where Teachers goes down hill, they try to make Lyndsey have a best mate relationship with Brian (like Susan and Simon) but they faded it out and Matt have an affair with Penny. The only good thing about this series was the background characters of series 1+2 now have roles and are more interesting than the main cast.

Series 3 was the first of the teachers series that I managed to watch on tv, and did enjoy it at the time. I still do enjoy this series, but since I got series one and two on dvd, I can see that series three is definately lacking something. The main problem is the absense of the characters Susan, Jenny, JP, and Simon, and no real strong new characters to replace them. However, with these characters gone, we see Brian and Kurt come to the fore. These two work well in this more prominent role, and managed to produce some hilarious episodes, as the pair quite often seem to be in friendly and pointless competiton with each other.
Not a patch on the earlier two series, but still better than series 4 that was out on television recently.

The third series of teachers is brilliant, Brian and Kurt make the series,You wont be able to stop laughing,The stays relativley the same, minus Simon, Jenny, Susan, and JP.
This doesnt give it the edge over the first two series, but still is brillant.
Best Episodes, Simons return, and The Bombfire night.
Its a must for all teahcers fans.
Role on series 4 starting soon.

Loving the series 1, 2 and 4, I thought I'd get this to complete my collection and I'm glad I did. Couldn't find in on the highstreet because it's a few years old so I'm glad to find it online for such a good price. Delivery was faster than expected too. Really funny dvd that always cheers me up. Have watched it more than once and will continue to do so.

An excellent addition to the series. Much enhanced by the fact that overrated and irritating Andrew Lincoln is not in most of it. (In fact, it is spoilt by his return in later episodes). Still, Kurt and Brian are fantastic and deserve a spin-off of their own. Lindsay is pure brilliance and she really adds edge to the shallow and one-dimensional character of Penny.
Buy this and wallow in Kurt and Brian heaven - it will take your mind off the dire new characters in Teachers 4!

I saw series 1 years ago - I can't recall anything about it, other than that it was good. I have now picked up series 3 via catch up on Sky and it's simply tedious. Each week, the characters are portrayed in pretty much the same scenarios - making much of talking up pretty dull subjects down the pub. The endless drinking, smoking, burping, being rude to the kids is getting boring now. Yes, we get it - they're teachers who behave like students. But not in a witty, laugh-out-loud way (as in Bad Education), it's simply repetitive. Another week, another huddle in the pub. The only episode that seemed vaguely different was when Liz and Bob got it on. Although this defied belief and turned my stomach. At this point in the series, Bob had been living out of his car, then the school PE equipment room. He was unwashed and wearing the same clothing day in day out - to the extent that the other teachers couldn't bear to sit near him and had discussed who ought to tell him he reeked. Yet we're to believe the glamorous, fussy Liz would come on to him! There was no humour to this and no hint at what Liz saw in Bob - it just made me feel ill.

All in all, the script writing is poor - it's childish (but not in a good way) and lacks imagination and flair. The characters are all either insipid or unlikable and each episode seems to go on for too long (but that's probably because it's so terribly, terribly dull)
