I enjoyed this book, although it is a bit of a fairy tale. It has an interesting story line, good dialogues and romance. If you want to get away from reality for a few hours and just enjoy a good story, then this is the book for you. Unfortunately the book needs a thorough proof-reading as there are plenty of spelling mistakes and typos in it, however, it's a major problem with most of the Kindle books. Overall, I think it is a good story in this genre and recommend it to those readers who just want to relax and enjoy.

I struggled to put this book down!!! The relationship between the two main likeable characters Callie and Dylan was lovely. I liked the fact, the story was told from both points of view. A fantastic read which i would definately recommend. I now am looking forward to reading the other books in The Sherbrookes of Newport collection.

This is a sweet story about the truth, and how it's not always a bad thing. Callie recently lost her mother, and is trying to mourn as best she can. She's a teacher and has always been honest, trusting and loving. When her mother's best friend calls to tell her something that will change her life forever, she stunned and angry at the revelation. After believing her father died when she was a baby she's hurt to find out that her mother lied to her and her father is none other than a billionaire senator who's about to run for president. On her death bed, her mother asks her friend to post a letter to Callie's father, finally telling him that he has a daughter and the reason why she never told him. Warren's first thought is to meet his daughter but his wife, Elizabeth, and step son, Dylan decide it's better for Dylan to see if this woman is actually Warren's daughter, but when he meets her, Dylan soon realises not only is Callie a true honest and sweet woman who doesn't want anything from them but he actually enjoys getting to know her. Callie and Dylan grow closer but will misunderstandings threaten their relationship before it even starts. I enjoyed this story, nice writing, story and plot, a little angst and some lovely romantic moments with a HEA and more books in the series. I enjoyed the characters and it's nice to see that they will also be in the rest of the series. Would recommend.

Unexciting, blandish tale. I have to admit - if I had paid for it, I would have returned it.

I didn't have any problems (surprise, surprise!) in their getting together (they weren't blood relatives), but still.....

Callie Taylor's life is turned upside down when she learns the truth about her birth following the death of her mother. Not only is her father alive, but he's none other than presidential candidate Senator Warren Sherbrooke.

Billionaire and confirmed bachelor, Dylan Talbot, is devoted to his family. When his stepfather Warren Sherbrooke receives a letter from a past love telling him they have a daughter together, Dylan is instantly suspicious. In order to keep the media vultures away and protect Warren's political aspirations, Dylan convinces Warren to let him handle the situation.

As Callie and Dylan spend time together, they can't resist the feelings that blossom between them. However, when Callie learns the real reason he has been spending time with her their fledgling romance is put in jeopardy and only complete honesty can save it.

Although you knew from the beginning how this would end it was still a nice easy read with a feel good factor. I liked Callie and I felt for Dylan in his predicament. Definately a well written and enjoyable book.

I didn't feel particulary drawn to the heroine of this tale although the hero was a different matter. She is a bit of an ostrich and doesn't like facing up to difficult situations. A bit of a wimp, really. He, on the other hand, is strongly written and an admirable hero character. The storyline is good so that makes up quite a lot for the somewhat feeble heroine who you feel like shaking at times. It is quite well written, if you ignore the usual Kindle bloopers that you get where letters and characters don't always translate well. For a free book, it's better than some others I have read and is good enough to wile away an idle moment or two.

A Cinderella story with a twist.."The Teacher's Billionaire" tugs at your heartstrings from beginning of the book to end.. with Callie Taylor and Dylan Talbot.. It is a sweet romance about an everyday woman whose life is turned upside down when she finds out her father is not only alive..but is running to be the next President and his beautiful English stepson has been given the task of arranging their first meeting!! I loved the chemistry between the two and how they kept trying to fight it..I have one complaint sorry to say Chrisitne it is Jane Austen not Austin!! otherwise I highly recommend this book...
