This is book four of the G-Man series and this one covers Taz and Lindsey, we have already had their story in Book 2 and this catches up with them going forward. Taz is still in the bureau and Lindsey and Sam’s interior design business is on the up and up and gaining momentum.
Taz and Lindsey had already been through so much in Love Plus One and it seems that their life is finally settled, they are now married and have children and their life is running smoothly. However as we always know with a job in the bureau Taz can be taken away at a moments notice and spend months away from home at a time and in true Andrea Smith style her plans for these two are anything but smooth.
Slate recruits Taz to go undercover, he is the only one that Slate trusts to undertake such a huge job that has extensive repercussions but it means that Taz will once again be away from Lindsey and his children. Having had to spin Lindsey a story about where he is going and downplaying it, it comes as a shock to everyone when what should have been an in and out job goes drastically wrong.
It is hard to read when a couple you have grown to love go through difficulties, and while they had already been through so much to be where they are I felt that this only made what they had stronger and to get through this they were going to need to rely on that strength.
“Stop,” I growled through clenched teeth, “Don’t resist me.” It was something I might’ve said to a perp that was resisting arrest, but at this moment, I was saying to my wife. My mate. The woman that I loved more than life itself.Read more ›
This book is Taz's story and what a story it is. He really is a great guy, he's got everything going for him, good looks, fantastic in bed, great career, wonderful husband, awesome father. Yeah something just had to go wrong, didn't it and it did in a HUGE way. I was spitting feathers reading, thinking you have got to be kidding me. I even messaged a friend saying I am no longer this Author's friend. Sorry Andrea, I know you are totally unaware of this till now but Jesus woman nothing like throwing a spanner in the works.
Taz is sent on a mission that ends badly and not just for him, his whole family are suffering. I could only think the worst while reading, I was one hundred percent behind Lindsey his wife but yet I didn't want it to be over for them. Not knowing where this story was going kept me furiously turning the pages.
I know Lindsey and Taz love each other deeply and have been lucky to have found each other, start a family together but seriously if any couple needed a break from danger and drama it's these two. Lindsey has been through so much. It's not been easy for Taz but they have got through some horrific times.
I love how other characters I have previously been introduced to are in this book. For instance we read about Slate and also Agent Trevani, now he was a nice surprise, we read about him in Clouds in my Coffee. I just love all these great books and characters who have been brought to my life by this talented writer.Read more ›
I read the first book about this couple getting together. I'm not sure why the author decided to write another book about them but it was disappointing. They've been married a while now and have 2 children. Lindsey has a design business with her mother. The book starts with her new client coming to her house to discuss a new business venture. Taz doesn't like him. I knew from the moment I read about Liam the client that he would feature later in the story.
Taz goes away on a secret mission where things go wrong and he is injured and has amnesia. He doesn't know he is married and his female captor convinces him that they are a couple. They have sex and while having sex with her he pictures a female with blonde hair and says out loud 'that's it baby girl'. Unbeknownst to Taz, the female captor sends a video clip of them having sex and him saying what he did to his wife. She of course is devastated but when Taz is rescued and brought back to the US, she still visits him in hospital even though he doesn't know who she is but he is already deciding he wants to have sex with her!
Once he is told he is married and has amnesia, he returns home with Lindsey and seems annoyed that she's not too happy. All he's interested in is having sex with her again. They go to counselling where he learns that Lindsey is upset he had sex with his captor and called her 'baby girl' which is what he has always called Lindsey. Although his infidelity is easily forgiven because he had amnesia, I still didn't care to read about it in a romance novel. Not sure why the author chose that storyline. When Taz and Lindsey resume their sex life I just found the dialogue used off putting.
I have read a few of this authors books and have always found the plots rather far fetched. This one was the same. I just didn't care whether they got back together or not as I didn't really like either Taz or Lindsey.

For me Andrea Smith's books are an automatic 1click. Her books are good, very, very good and this one is right up there with the other books in this series.Published 15 months ago by Rossie
