About the Author

Ken Hom was born in Arizona of Cantonese parents. He started to cook aged 11 in his uncle's restaurant which gave him a thorough grounding in traditional chinese cookery. This book contains chapters on key Chinese ingredients and some absolutely delicious recipes. It even gave advice on how to form proper dumpling shapes. Reading about the history of some of the recipes was also a real trip down memory lane.
