I had for some time been wanting to reconnect with the Tarot (I attended a 10 wk beginner's course some years ago) and Davina's easy to read book was the perfect catalyst for re-igniting my spark, providing me with the starting point I had been looking for. Within the first few pages I was immediately calmed, having felt overwhelmed by all that I needed to remember but felt I had probably forgotten, by her words "you don't have to try hard"! Reading the cards just happens, the more you do it, the more you see and feel. Viewing the images as characters in an unfolding play really helped me to relax into the "zone".

Davina's writing is clean, simple and encouraging, making interpreting the cards and associated threads an uplifting experience.

For me, her book acts as a tool for a journey towards insight, awareness and growth which feels empowering. She somehow seems to make reading and understanding the Tarot accessible to all and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has an interest in reading the Tarot either for themselves or others.

The layout is easy to follow and the brief synopsis of the suits informative and appreciated.

I am very much looking forward to having a copy of her next book, should she write one, on the minor arcana to complement my learning journey.

This kindle book has clear meanings for the Major Arcana both upright and reversed. Each card section begins with an overview of the card which gives a great feel for the card in question. Some keywords follow. The question and comment section at the end of each card gives much food for thought (this was my favorite bit). I have been studying tarot for some time but found this a most worthwhile read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tarot Card Meanings: The Major Arcana (Tarot Cards) 26 Aug. 2013

I love the simple and clear manner in which the author describes each card of the Major Arcana. This book covers the reverse meanings and personality of each Major Arcana. I was really impressed with the questions and comments section in the book, as it prompts the readers to broaden their imagination and increase their understanding of each of the cards easily; without having to memorise the keywords of each card.

The additional resources included in the book with the snapshot of the Major Arcana meanings are very helpful and so is the High Priestess audio meditation!

I would highly recommend this book to the novice and the advanced Tarot enthusiasts as it is an "all in".

A book about the 22 Major Arcanas and a small portion of the book is dedicated to the Minor ones.
I wouldn't say it surprised me at any point, having read a lot on the subject. But it does get the point through, and some times (few indeed) it did offer some insight, probably through the personal experiences of the author. Still, a read that won't take up much of your time, and that might well prove handy if you're a beginner.

I have been reading tarot and studying it since the 80s. So I was curious to see if there was anything in this book that I wasn't already aware of. This author never disappoints me!! I have read all her books and have learned a lot of usefull information from each book. This book pleasantly surprised me. Indeed it brought new insight to the cards and gave me plenty of food for thought. No matter if you are new to tarot or if you have been reading for decades... this book has a lot of useful information. I highly recommend this read!!!

Good place to start tarot. Explanations of tne cards were thorough enough to learn yet not overwhelming. I reference it often as I continue to expand my tarot knowledge.

I needed a good research book & this one is great! Easy to read & understand it will be a big help in my writings.

Often these books can delve into other areas becoming confusing this is just what it says it is. Wonderful!
