I bought the previous version of this bag (TEB02) around 10 years ago and it was awesome and served me 7-8 years used daily until zipper failed. Unbeatable value for price. Since it had lifetime warranty I contacted Targus and received TEB01 as replacement. It is of much poorer quality than TEB02 was, noticeably lighter probably due to cheaper, less sturdy materials, fever utility pockets in the small compartment. Only after few uses I noticed that few of the seams already failed. Also the material used for on edges of the straps easily gets "puffy" with threads being "pulled" out. See seconds attached picture.
Due to issues with replacement bag, I contacted Targus again and got another TEB01. However, it is exactly the same and developed same "puffy" straps after few uses. I could go on and keep requesting new bags thanks to lifetime warranty, but it doesn't make sense, I simply bought Douter bag since I wanted better ventilated back. It's shame Targus have dropped their quality standards.
