This product ticks every box by being inexpensive, unobtrusive and great at what it does!
The alternative to the taplock was to construct a box which considering my lack of DIY skills would have been dodgy to say the least!
Needless to say we've had no more problems of our outdoor tap being deliberately turned on during the night and wasting money
I would highly recommend this device to those who have an issue with security of an outdoor tap

I have purchased two of these and I think this is one of the best products I have come across in ages and well worth the money. If you are on a water meter it is definitely worth thinking about getting one.
I bought the first one for my partner after he caught a local window cleaner (not one he uses) in his garden helping himself to water for his round! Some months later I bought one for myself when my neighbour was due to have building work done that involved the fence between our gardens coming down.
The taplock does exactly what it says on ‘the tin’ and is very easy to use. Simply insert the ‘key’, screw the taplock on to your tap until tight and then remove the key. The taplock then spins round and won’t come off until the key is reinserted. The lock comes with two keys in case one is mislaid.
My outside tap does drip slightly, nothing that is worth the call out charge for a plumber. The taplock has stopped the drip and it cost less than the call out charge for a plumber. Recommended!

Excellent. It has stopped 'pranksters' from turning the Tap on and leaving the water running. Which obviously increases my water costs as I am metered. Easy to use. Wish I had found this last year......

once screwed into place and locked there is a pressure build up that causes a small amount of water to drip out the top where you turn water off. product itself works well, having two keys also comes in handy.

Have neighbours whose builders used our front tap to clean their cement laden tools onto our driveway and then kid who decided it was fun to turn on our tap even though we are on metered water. Put this on tap and hey presto - no more using our water!!!

Magnetic keys to unlock the taplock (spinlock) sound like a brilliant idea.

In practice, I don't think this technology is mature enough yet.

I bought two of these for my outside taps. They both worked... at first.

Then one of them stopped working.

I tried both keys (yes, they were the right keys), banging it, twisting it - nothing worked.

I had to email the manufacturer to find out how to get it off. It involved lying on my (sharp) gravel drive holding a power drill over my head for 20-minutes while I drilled a large hole through the steel casing. Not a fun job. The manufacturer had the cheek to ask me to send back this (heavy) faulty device with no offer to cover the postage.

If I could, I wouldn't even give it 1-star. Do yourself a favour, avoid this product like the plague.
