5.0 out of 5 stars The book that captures the eloquent Spirit of tea 12 July 2010

This book has an amazing history of tea throughout the dynasties of China and describes all the elements of tea and captures the true essence of tea. I feel much richer (spiritually) as a person having read and consumed the written pages of this book. I am learning Kong Fu or Gong Fu ceremony and this has been a definite additive to my experience.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Explanations of The "Tao" 24 Mar. 2011
By Maryh - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
As a westerner learning about Asian tea and its philosophy, this book helped a great deal. It explained, in a way that I could undertand, the meaning of Tao and how it is connected to the beverage of tea. The photographs of the different kinds of tea, Chinese cultural artifacts, and various parts of China helped me to understand the history of both the Tao and the tea. Ling Yun also explains the Asian concept of the 5 elements in simple language.
