Emily Windsnap isn't like other kids in town. When she finally started swimming lessons she found her legs transform into a tail and earned her the cruel nick name of freaky fish girl in school. One night while swimming out past Rainbow Rocks she discovered a real mermaid who was afraid of her at first but quickly become as close a best friend that you'd almost think the two are sisters. Together they had several adventures such as locating Emily dad locked up in King Neptune's jail, making the mistake of releasing the Kraken upon a nearby cruise ship in the Bermuda Triangle and facing the wrath of Neptune where Emily tries to convince the king that humans and mer folk should be living in harmony not apart. All the while as she explore both human and mermaid schools she has much thinking to do of what she wants to be when she grows up.
I loved the book, it's not just for the young but for all ages.
I can't wait to read Phillipa Fisher.
Emily Windsnap is a great book.
