I like this kit because: 1. It makes for a very realistic finished model with decent performance. 2. You build it yourself so if somthing breaks you can fix it. 3. replacement parts are cheap. Mine came with a electronic ESC for brushed motors. The clear lexan body is nice so you can paint it any color you like. Please be aware this is not a competition car, while it will smoke your Big Box toys at the same scale, It is 1980's design so it is no competition for modern brushless cars. It is a hobby grade R/C car with 4 wheel independent suspension and a differential rear end. The easyest hop-up for this tomato is use a 2 cell 1300mha 7.4 volt lipo. It wieghs 1/3 of the 6 cell nicad equivilant. With the stock 540 can motor acceleration is quicker with no wheel spin and handeling is great. I can't get mine to slide or spin out on clean pavement. I do wish they had a driver head to have sitting up in the cab....and a light kit. Get one! Build it! Drive it! Enjoy!
