After reading the synopsis, I envisioned a smokin' hot, witty, wild on tour, rock ‘n’ roll thrill ride with Taming The Storm, and I certainly got that ...AND SO MUCH MORE!
Tom was always a favourite of mine. The snippets fed to us depicting a relentless player with no conscience, a notorious bad boy rock star cliché -- womaniser and partygoer with a penchant for crazy tattoos made for amusing reading, even if he did come across fickle and a little arrogant.
But… is it all a façade?
I just knew that Samantha Towle was going to throw a spanner in the works and raise the curtain on what is in-fact a deeply troubled young man with his own story to tell.
After the devastating automobile accident that almost claimed Tru and her child’s life in Wethering The Storm, Jake is at breaking point. Tom, still getting over the loss of Jonny Creed, can’t imagine his life without his best friend, Jake Wethers and does something he has never done before.
Tom Carter isn’t the religious type; he has never prayed… that is until now.
Renouncing his wayward ways and promising to only indulge in sexual relations with a woman he truly cares about seems a daunting prospect. He doesn’t do romance and he certainly doesn’t do love. But it comes easier than he could have possibly imagined when Lyra Summers enters the fray; the beautiful and talented lead singer of Vintage, who has recently signed to TMS records. With no manager to oversee their upcoming tour, Lyra is mortified to learn that Jake has entrusted Tom Carter, number one manwhore (aka mut), to take on the new role.Read more ›
I'm so glad Tom got his own book. Tom is the bass guitar player in TMS, his ego is as big as the band he's in ! He's a real player but he's also really funny and charming, you can't help but love him. Also loved Lyla's character too, she's sassy and funny too. She's sworn off men and love and definitely Tom ! But thrown together for six weeks, can they resist each other, can Lyla resist the biggest 'mut' of all ?
This is a sweet, funny, sexy and a little emotional read. Had me laughing out loud a few times then feeling a little sad towards the end. And the sexy scenes are HOT, Tom is a real dirty talker, which I love.
Absolutely loving this series, I recommend you read them all. Brilliantly written by Samantha Towle :-) 5 fat stars *****
I LOVE Tom to be honest what’s not to love, he’s a cocky nightmare but I honestly would completely marry him!!!
He’s crude and brash and a total mut but he’s also sweet and sensitive and just adorable!!
Lyla is absolutely perfect for Tom they complement each other and they just seem to fit, I think it’s obvious to everyone that this book was going to have a seriously happy, happy ending but I still loved reading them behave like idiots.
I think we all just need to have a minute and a full blown round of applause for the sex in this book.
Yep I just needed to stop and remember a few scenes in my head lol
The sex in this book is smoking hot, like not just hot but SMOKING hot and there is loads of it in every way, shape and form lol.
Tom is one of those characters that it’s super easy to fall in love with, this book is called Taming The Storm but I don’t think that Lyla tames him. I think she just jumps on the crazy train with him!!!
Tom is super alpha and god if that doesn’t make him even sexier lol the more demanding he got the hotter it was!!
Yep as you can tell I enjoyed this book, it’s a quick easy read and even though it’s part of a series you honestly can read as a standalone and still enjoy.
It’s such as shame that this the end of this series but it ends very happily.
Taming the Storm gets 4 seriously sexy stars from me.
