I was intrigued in the book at the start. As it went on I became a little concerned that it was going to fall into one of those formula ruts so many authors tend to us. You know the ones where you can guess the next move of the characters and be right. I am happy to report that this is not one of those books. Lilly is a wonderfully complex character. She spent her life caring for, raising, loving, and protecting her special Mr brother. James had gone to America in search of his brothers killer whom he belief to have been Lilly though she had no knowledge of what her actions in helping her older brother and the cause. James kidnaps her and her little brother and takes her to England. From there I foolishly thought I knew the direction the story was going to take but continued to read anyway. I was so glad I did. The story had so many twist and turns I had no idea how it would come to the final conclusion. I highly suggest read this book you will be pleasantly surprised.

I was unable to put the book down because the story kept me so entertained. There was some mystery involved and didn't become solved until the bitter end which probably helped keep me interested. I thought the romance was bittersweet because they weren't always nice to each other. I would like to read more stories by this author.

I enjoyed the tale very much. I found myself smiling frequently. Didn't get any belly laughs but the smiles the tale encouraged was enough. Enjoyed the flow of the story will look into more of Patricia Grass novels. Thanks for a fun read.

To Tame a Duke was a book that I couldn't put down. Loved the loyalty and love Michael's sister had for him and her promise to her dying mother. Have to praise both James and Lily for their love and understanding for Michael. In fact James's entire family. Loved it!!
