"Everybody's Special" is the debut book of Kent born author & illustrator Tamara Rattigan,which aims to inspire children to embrace their individuality and uniqueness.
Tamara Rattigan is a successful graphic designer who lives in the South East of England with her husband and three young children. Everybody's Special, the first in a series of children's story books which aim to inspire children and is a great resource to support inclusive practice in early year's settings regarding inclusion, diversity and values.
Tamara initially wrote Everybody's Special as a short story for her young son who had been diagnosed with Autism (ASD). He would question why he was "different" from his peers and Tamara wanted a way to explain to him that is okay to be different, because EVERYBODY is different and that's what makes us all special and unique.
