A disappointment. If the author has spent so much time with these serial killers and has so much access to documentation and police files where is all the information. I never really read anything in this book that I haven't seen on CI. Was hoping to get a real insight to these men, not just read the same old stuff. For anyone wanting a real insight to serial killers leave this well alone

After reading the 1st book, I expected this 1 to be similar, however, I found it's more like reading usual serial killer books, it doesn't really "interview" the killers, it's just another book that gives the facts, not from their mouths though, it just puts in snippets. Good read, but was disappointed tbh

If you are interested in WHY????? did serial killers are doing their crimes - those books are for you. Author did an amazing study, which lasted for 10 years and presented his findings in those books, He does not give you his opinion, only rare facts - you have to decide yourself.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I have read other books by the same author and found those to be equally fascinating. Not only are their crimes detailed, their childhoods and behaviours are also broken down and analysed. It is the mind set and psychology of these people I find intriguing. The only downfall I felt with this book are the cases featured. Some of these particular cases are rather over featured in multiple books, documentaries etc... To have some lesser known cases would be perhaps a little more enticing.

This book is very dark and sheds light on how awful some people can be , I couldn't put the book down and it made made toss and turn at night . It is a book for people who don't get scared early since its pretty graphic and very descriptive. An excellent read and beautifully written .

I really enjoy these types of books. It was fascinating and factual. I've not read face to face with serial killers (like some of the other reviewers have) so cannot comment on how similar it is, nevertheless it still wouldn't deter me from read that one either. I think Christopher Berry-Dee is a great writer and thorough enjoy his books!

I like most who read books like these have a morbid curiosity and are intrigued to why these crimes are committed then solved, I found it hard to put it down and was read in no time. It was easy to follow and not full of jargon

The first book 'talking with serial killers' (1) remains my most recommended book of this type and is a gripping and haunting read. A definite 5 star. The sequel (2) is interesting and had me hooked from the outset. Although it doesn't 100% live up to its predecessor. I love Christopher Berry-Dee's style of writing and look forward to reading his next book 'dead men talking'.
